Alison, Will and Gwen meet up at The Lakeview; Gwen makes a quick exit to sign in for work. As soon as she is gone, Allie begins making catty comments about her, angering Will. He tells Alison to stop or risk losing one of the only friends she has left in town! She asks for her phone but Will won't hand it over until Allie listens to him. She realizes he is right - she needs to stop lashing out at people - but tells him it isn't that easy. He asks about Aaron. As they talk, Alison begins to feel better. He tells her that things will get better and reminds her that she does have friends who will stand by her.
Will and Gwen arrive home and are surprised when Alison walks up. She apologizes for ruining their party but neither is angry with her. Allie admits that Maddie was telling them all the truth, apologizes again, and then offers them a plant. She turns to leave but Will stops her and they all go inside. Gwen goes to get a few drinks. She returns and is uneasy when she overhears Will and Alison talking about old times and offering her his support. She finally goes in and asks Alison to join them in a movie later in the week, hoping that a little more estrogen in the outing might result in a better movie! Allie agrees to meet them. They sit down and begin to look through the baby's first photo album. Allie stands up, thanks them again for being her friends, and leaves the house. When they are alone Will asks Gwen why she reached out to Allie. "I knew it was what you wanted," she says and goes back to the kitchen. Will follows, wondering what is really bothering Gwen. She tells him it's everything - it is Jade, Cleo and even Alison. She just doesn't want anyone to get between them again. Will tells her that his feelings for Alison were over a long time ago but Gwen is still obviously worried. She can't put a finger on why she is still upset but Will has an idea - Iris! Will tells Gwen not to worry because he won't let Iris anywhere near her. That isn't what Gwen is worried about, though. Since Iris knows they don't have any money, she is worried about what other reasons may have brought Iris back to Oakdale.
After the party Will surprises Gwen with a funny t-shirt which says "Murgatroyd's Mom". They laugh about it, both happy about their soon-to-be roles as parents. As they continue cleaning up, the conversation turns to food and Gwen begins to have cravings - like milkshakes and other sweet foods. They head to Al's for some comfort food. They are getting ready to order when Iris walks in the door! She overhears Gwen's order, sees the t-shirt and realizes Gwen is pregnant. Both Gwen and Will try to convince her she is wrong but Iris is having none of it. Gwen reminds her that she gave up everything when Gwen gave up the trust fund but Iris tries to gloss over their past. Upset, Gwen tells her to stay away from their child. Will backs her up, telling her that they'll do everything they can to keep her from their child. Gwen asks Iris to leave. Upset, she leaves the diner. Gwen wonders how she'll get through the pregnancy without a mother or another woman to lean on. Will reassures her that they'll get through it together. From outside Iris watches and then makes a call, telling whoever is on the other line that things are going to get really interesting.
At Gwen and Will’s party, Noah and Luke are joking about being guys at a baby shower, the two of them being friendly and relaxed with one another. But not everyone’s feeling friendly, as in Gwen’s bedroom, Alison has walked in on Gwen and Maddie talking about her. She’s just confronted them about it, challenging them to say whatever they have to say to her face rather than behind her back. Maddie and Gwen try to pass it off, as Will comes in and tries to smooth things over. But, not one to be brushed off, Alison is persistent, wanting details about what was said. Dusty walks in behind Alison, to rescue her, and ultimately suggesting that everyone just let it go. “This is supposed to be a party,” he says. Everyone agrees and Gwen and Maddie apologize to Alison for talking about her. They all go back into the living room, leaving Alison and Dusty alone. Alison tells Dusty that he shouldn’t have come to her aid, saying she just wants the whispering to stop – to get it out in the open and let it go. Dusty suggests that instead, Alison might want to try to become friends with Maddie and Gwen.
At the party, a toast. Will gets honest about how hard the year has been and how much Gwen has helped him get his life back. Everyone is touched – Alison giving Dusty a sidelong look, Noah reaching down to give Maddie a peck on the cheek, Luke jealous, looking at his shoes.
The party is wrapping up and everyone’s leaving, starting with Dusty and then Alison, who’s been watching Dusty like a hawk all evening. Alison takes Dusty’s advice about befriending Gwen and tells Will and Gwen that she’d like to hang out together sometime and then scurries out the door.
The party over, Gwen and Will are alone, cuddled on the couch together. They’re musing about parenthood, and going over possible names for the baby. They pick out some silly “temporary” names and fall into the couch, kissing.
Will talks with Sage, who doesn't want him to tell her things are going to be okay. She wants the truth. Gwen returns and he tells her about Carly's phone call, assuring them that things will be okay. Gwen has good news, too. The sonogram shows their baby is fine! She pulls out a sonogram picture and shows Will. Sage helps him figure out that it's a boy in the photo.
Susan and Alison are shopping in Old Town, talking about addiction and the ways they can fool themselves. Susan asks Alison if she will consider moving back home. Allie hesitates but finally comes clean, telling Susan that she needs to be on her own for a while. They talk for a while longer and Alison changes her mind and decides to move back home! As Susan leaves Will walks up with Sage. They talk for a bit and Alison tells Will that she feels partly to blame for Paul's death! Will tells her not to place the blame. He asks about Aaron's return and Allie gets quiet. She blames herself for their not getting back together, too. Will asks her to come along to their little party and Alison agrees to stop by.
Sage, Will and Gwen return home and Sage asks to go to a friends. Will agrees to take her and they leave. Gwen picks up the sonogram picture, excited about their life. Alison arrives, surprising Gwen. She starts to leave when she realizes Will didn't tell Gwen about inviting her but Gwen asks her to stay. Maddie and Noah arrive and they all notice the decorations. They know the big stork news! Noah introduces himself to Allie. Maddie wonders why she is there at all. Gwen takes Maddie aside, asking why she is being mean. Maddie tells Gwen about the rumors of Alison's porn career. Allie walks in and tells Maddie to say what she has to say to her face!
