At Fairwinds, Paul tells his family that this wedding is all wrong. Emily thinks he's being aggressively silly and they should make an effort to get along with his mother. Will says it's creepy but they should let it happen.

After the ceremony, Paul talks to his mother and half-brother about seeing James. They send the judge off and start pouring the champagne. Katie tells Chris that the couple will be happy, like she was with Brad. Bob and Kim watch her with their son and she talks about how sweet they look. Paul gathers everyone together to toast to the couple and wish them a happy life. Gwen tears up but Barbara tells her not to worry about what's happened because they are family. She tells Will how proud she is of him, even though she hasn't always been a great mom. She throws the bouquet and Katie catches it. Katie and Chris smile at each other. This leads to an awkward moment between them. He goes silent and then asks if they can go to her place and talk. She walks over to the bride and groom to congratulate them again. Kim takes Barbara aside and says that Jenny would be happy for her. Bob leads his wife away and they run into John by the front desk.

You Can Take Your Can Of Worms And Shove It.

    Thursday, August 26 2010

At Fairwinds, Gwen is packing up and Emily asks her if she wants to stick around a little longer. She tells her that she doesn't blame her for what happened with Iris. Will walks in and says he can't get a hold of his mother. He's worried that Iris could have gone after her again even though she's in custody. Gwen calls to make sure her mom is in custody. Paul walks in and says that his mom is with Henry. He makes faces and Emily teases him. She hopes Barbara stays with Henry because it will keep her off their backs. They make out and then his mom calls to say she's coming for a visit. The couple soon arrives and announces their engagement. Everyone makes faces. Henry wants them to get married at Fairwinds. Everyone is silent. "Are you serious?" Paul finally asks. Will is speechless. Paul says it's weird for his mom to marry his half-brother. He tries to talk them out of making this kind of commitment but the couple is adamant. Henry doesn't know why he won't let them have a new beginning so Paul reminds him that he is James' son and this marriage would only keep Barbara in the endless Stenbeck cycle. This upsets Barbara and makes Henry furious. Paul wonders what the rush is and warns his brother that they will have to deal with the public reaction to the marriage and they'll be opening a can of worms. "Take your can of worms and shove it," Henry says.

Will walks off and Gwen follows him. He's really uncomfortable with what's going on and needs to talk to someone about this. He heads out.

Will meets with Gwen at Java and wonders why his mom needs a man to make her happy. What makes it worse is that she is with a nut who is half her age. She thinks that Henry really loves his mom but he still worries. She talks him around.

I Never Want To See You Again.

    Thursday, August 19 2010

In the wine cellar of Fairwinds, Henry and Paul help Barbara and Emily up. Henry tells Barb that he will never leave her again. "I never want to see you again," she tells him. Upstairs, Gwen and Will mull over the events and she can't believe she gave her mom the benefit of a doubt. Emily runs in and is furious when they tell her that Iris has escaped. Barbara joins them and refuses to go to the hospital. Henry runs in and Barbara shouts at him for marrying Vienna. Paul stands up for his half-brother. Emily coughs as Barb shouts at them all until Gwen tells them they should be grateful to be safe.

Iris goes back to Barbara's room and grabs what cash she can before heading out. She goes down to the bar to have a drink for the road. When she turns around, Gwen is standing there. She lambastes her mother for almost burning people to death. Iris says she owes her because she gave birth to her, even if she is a 'gross, lying, psycho'. She asks her daughter to let her walk out of her life. Gwen keeps her there, talking for long enough for the cops to arrive. As she is cuffed, Iris tells her daughter that she will regret this. "You consider yourself an orphan," she bleats as she's dragged out.

Gwen and Will return to Fairwinds to tell Paul and Emily that Iris is in custody. Emily's sorry. There are many apologies and Paul decides it's time for a toast to them as a family.
