    Friday, July 02 2010

Paul shows up at Henry's while he's trying on ties. He shows his brother the rings and wonders why he is so nervous. "Do you still have feelings for my mom?" Paul asks. Henry begins babbling about how great Barbara is until Paul stops him and tells him he may want to reconsider this marriage if he feels that way. Henry wants a drink but his brother thinks he needs to keep a clear head. Henry claims he needs to let things be even if it kills him inside. Paul realizes he's truly smitten. Henry runs out for a drink.

Paul and Henry are in the bar at the Lakeview. Paul is trying to keep his brother sober and repeats that he can't marry Vienna if he loves Barbara. Henry runs over all the reasons he has to go through with the wedding and Paul backs down.

Bob and Kim arrive at Al's. He scopes out the hors d'oeuvres and they joke around about being newlyweds. They hope Chris and Barbara can get something like what they have. Henry arrives, greets everyone and starts drinking. Everyone guesses he's drinking because of Barbara. Josiah, the clergyman, arrives, dressed as Vulcan. Henry continues to drink and Bob starts to wonder if he can stand through the ceremony. Paul is about to leave to look for his wife when she walks in, ranting about his mom. She assures him his mother won't be coming and tells him not to call her. Vienna rushes in and declares that she has something important to say. He notices that she is showing all of a sudden. She declares that she wants to marry him right now. Chris and Katie arrive and Paul calls everyone to take their places. Everyone looks around for Barbara. Josiah begins the ceremony.

Cool As An Iceberg In Hell.

    Thursday, July 01 2010

At Fairwinds, Paul tries to impress Emily with the orange juice he made. She still wishes he'd confided in her. Emily may be willing to forgive him, but she's not about to forgive his mother. He thinks she's overreacting and urges her to be tolerant. Ali shows up and Paul leaves the women to talk. Alison admires her new ring and then shows her the letter from Mick and asks her to open it. Em reads the letter to her. Mick wrote about how he is integrating his personalities together and constantly thinking about her. He wants to know if they ever have a chance. Ali wants to forget about this and explains that she and Casey are getting close again. Em tells her to burn the letter and focus on the future.

Henry goes to Fairwinds to see his brother. "I'm cool as an iceberg in Hell," Henry says. Paul teases him. His brother asks him to be his best man. Paul says he would be honored and offers him some champagne. Emily walks in and congratulates them both. Henry begins hyperventilating when he realizes he forgot to get rings. Emily blames it all on Barbara. Paul begs everyone to forget about his mother so they can get on with the wedding. Everyone gets dressed and Em and Paul continue bickering about his mom.

    I'm Not Good For You.

    Tuesday, June 29 2010

At Fairwinds, Emily shoves Paul around and screams at him for never telling her what he was thinking and letting her go to jail. He tells her that it was all just an act and apologizes. Em doesn't like being his 'collateral damage' but he begs her to forgive him. She can't do that and walks away to pack her stuff. He continues pleading with her and they argue. Em wants to believe him. Holden calls and asks Paul down to the hospital. Em dismissively waves him away and refuses to wait around for him. Barbara arrives and begins sparring with Emily. Paul tells them not to kill each other while he's gone and departs. The women bicker and Babs makes excuses for Meg before announcing that she is moving back to the hotel and not hiding from anyone anymore. Em tells Barbara that she's pathetic for running after Henry. Babs tells her she's the one who is pathetic because she is sticking it out with Paul even when he's treated her the way he has. She takes a picture of Paul because she knows she can't be in his life as long as Emily is too.

When Paul arrives at the hospital, Holden reads him the riot act. Emma stops him. She doesn't blame Paul for this, but she does blame him for ruining Meg's life for years. Meg yells for Paul. He sits by her side and tells her this is all his fault. He knows that he can't make things right. The only thing they can do is move on with their lives. "I'm not good for you," he says, admitting that he loves Emily and his life is with her. Meg weeps. She doesn't know if she can get better without him. Loving her is not something he will ever regret... but she has to get better for their little girl. He holds her face in his hands, kisses her and stands. Meg says she'll never regret him either. He walks out in tears and Emma says that the doctors think Meg should be taken far away to recover. She asks him to take care of Eliza.

Paul goes home. Emily approaches him and tells him she's still home. She feels stupid for loving him when he hurts her like this. He begs her not to take his family away. Paul still wants to raise Eliza with her. The little girl walks into the room and climbs into Paul's arms. Emily laughs and tells Paul he's not playing fair.

    Back To Normal.

    Monday, June 28 2010

At Fairwinds, Meg continues drugging herself while pointing a gun at Emily. Em tries begging her to stop but Meg's buzz is growing. Meg begins shouting that she is doing this for Eliza and Paul is on her side. Em attempts to rationalize with her but that doesn't work very well. Meg keeps drinking methadone and says that it will be easy to convince the cops that she wasn't responsible for this. "You're going to be dead and you'll be blamed for your own death," Meg says with a chuckle. Em tries to convince her that the cops are onto her and offers to leave town for her. They begin wrestling for the gun. As Paul, Emma and an orderly rush in, Meg throws Emily back and takes a shot at her. Emma asks for the gun. Paul explains that he loaded the gun with blanks. Meg asks to see Eliza again and then begins accusing Emily of drugging her. Em explains what happened and Paul says that he's known she was telling the truth all along. Emma tries to calm her daughter. Barbara and Henry arrive and she begins ranting at Emily for tying her up. Paul explains what's been happening and that he's known all along. His wife is furious that he played along but he says the stakes were too high to say anything. Henry drags Barbara out. Meg crawls up in a ball on the couch. She moans that Emily is the evil one. Her mother promises that things will be okay and leads her away with the orderly. Paul turns to Emily and apologizes. "At least things can now go back to normal," he says. Paul knew that she could never lie to him and had to ratchet things up so Meg would act out. She's furious and slaps him.
