    Ali drops by Tom and Margo's and goes up to see Casey. She wakes him. They gather their bags as their families arrive. Everyone joins to say goodbye to the couple. Tom tells Casey that he has changed his life forever and he's always been proud of him. Casey thanks his mom for believing in him. There are plenty of hugs and then the young couple drives off to Carbondale. Tom tells Margo this is a brand new start for them. She feels like she's been punched in the gut. He reminds her that they promised to spend more time together. Margo feels like her life is empty now.

    At Fairwinds, Emily wakes Paul up as Eliza putters around. She wonders if he is serious about walking away from BRO. He is. As they make out, Barbara and Henry arrive. She informs her son that she is dissolving their partnership. He understands. Emily is impressed that Barbara is walking away from her son. The four of them toast to getting what they want. After Barbara and Henry leave, Paul asks Em if she will love him regardless of his mother always being around. She still will.

    At Fairwinds, Paul tells his family that this wedding is all wrong. Emily thinks he's being aggressively silly and they should make an effort to get along with his mother. Will says it's creepy but they should let it happen.

    At Fairwinds, Paul gathers Henry and Barbara and Emily by the fire place so they can exorcise James from their lives. They burn photos of him. The newlyweds leave and Paul and Em make out on the couch.

    At Fairwinds, Gwen is packing up and Emily asks her if she wants to stick around a little longer. She tells her that she doesn't blame her for what happened with Iris. Will walks in and says he can't get a hold of his mother. He's worried that Iris could have gone after her again even though she's in custody. Gwen calls to make sure her mom is in custody. Paul walks in and says that his mom is with Henry. He makes faces and Emily teases him. She hopes Barbara stays with Henry because it will keep her off their backs. They make out and then his mom calls to say she's coming for a visit. The couple soon arrives and announces their engagement. Everyone makes faces. Henry wants them to get married at Fairwinds. Everyone is silent. "Are you serious?" Paul finally asks. Will is speechless. Paul says it's weird for his mom to marry his half-brother. He tries to talk them out of making this kind of commitment but the couple is adamant. Henry doesn't know why he won't let them have a new beginning so Paul reminds him that he is James' son and this marriage would only keep Barbara in the endless Stenbeck cycle. This upsets Barbara and makes Henry furious. Paul wonders what the rush is and warns his brother that they will have to deal with the public reaction to the marriage and they'll be opening a can of worms. "Take your can of worms and shove it," Henry says.

    Will and Gwen return to Fairwinds and Emily and Paul fill them in on the fight with Henry. Will thinks they should be more supportive and Emily agrees. Paul still refuses.

    In the wine cellar of Fairwinds, Henry and Paul help Barbara and Emily up. Henry tells Barb that he will never leave her again. "I never want to see you again," she tells him. Upstairs, Gwen and Will mull over the events and she can't believe she gave her mom the benefit of a doubt. Emily runs in and is furious when they tell her that Iris has escaped. Barbara joins them and refuses to go to the hospital. Henry runs in and Barbara shouts at him for marrying Vienna. Paul stands up for his half-brother. Emily coughs as Barb shouts at them all until Gwen tells them they should be grateful to be safe.

    Paul returns to Fairwinds and finds Emily scrubbing the wine cellar. The only thing she ever wanted was to be a family with him, but she thinks she's put his family though hell and is being punished for it. Em explains that his mom tried to make peace with her and she turned her down. Crying, she can't believe she's been so spiteful.

    In the wine cellar, Emily moans at Barbara as sparks fly from the electrical box they accidentally smashed. They try to shimmy out of their bonds but that doesn't work and the room fills with smoke as they argue. Coughing, Barbara apologizes for treating her unfairly. Emily tries to apologize but that doesn't work out. Barb wonders if they'll be friends if they survive but Em says that's not possible. As they start choking, Paul kicks the door open and rushes in. The women are untied and explain that iris was behind it all.

    In the wine cellar, Barbara and Emily try to get the beam they are strapped to to move. When they do, parts of the ceiling fall on them. They bicker until Iris comes down and laughs at them. She asks for the money from Barbara, which only makes her angry. Iris gets them to shut up and then answers the phone, pretending to be Babs. He arranges a meeting with her banker and then leaves. The women continue to bicker.
