Damian is disappointed to bump into Lily at the Lakeview and learns she is just looking for Holden. He points to Holden laughing at the bar with Maeve. Lily walks over and tells him that their children want to throw a Halloween party. Maeve makes herself scarce. Holden tells Lily to talk to her husband and walks away. When Damian asks her to have a drink, she turns him down.
Holden goes to Maeve's room to apologize for Lily. He spots the bag of money and warns her that the bills are probably marked. She knows but she finds it hard to give up the money. She even slept on a blanket of cash when she checked in. He offers to reimburse her if she gives the money back. Maeve doesn't want charity, she'd rather find a job and wonders if the hotel is hiring. "Lily owns the hotel," he explains. He offers to talk to Lily for her.
When Luke goes upstairs, he bumps into Holden and Maeve. She gushes about how wonderful Holden is and then walks off. Luke tells his father that they should rent a cabin for the family and go up to the woods. Holden thinks that's a great idea.
Damian buys Maeve a drink at the bar. When she goes back to her room, she runs into Holden who tells her he's spending the weekend with his kids.

Lily's in shock when she runs into Maeve and Holden on the street. "What are you doing with my husband?" Lily demands. Holden tells her to calm down and explains that Maeve was as much of a victim of Ebb as he was. They explain how they helped each other and Lily apologizes. "A good husband is hard to find. But some people are greedy with them," Maeve snipes. They bicker. Holden ends it and Lily asks him to come and see the kids later. After she walks away, Maeve asks Holden if he still wants Lily back.
When Damian walks into Lily's, he finds Holden there. They begin sniping at each other and Damian explains that the marriage is legal. Holden thinks he's pretty smug for a guy who spent his wedding night in a hotel alone. Damian is sure that Lily will come back to him and declares that he will wait as long as it takes. After he leaves, Holden plays with Ethan until Lily comes home. She tells him she doesn't care what the law says, they are still married. He walks out. She chases after him and tells him he won't always be angry. She was the only reason he came back, he explains. If he can't have all of her, he can't stay...
When Holden returns to his room at the hotel, he runs into Maeve in the hallway, "Hello there neighbor. Can you spare a little ice?" she asks. He smiles.
My Life Is Over.
Meg tries to stop her mother from frantically cleaning the farm house. Emma can't stop; she's too anxious to see Holden again. Meg says he probably doesn't want a big reunion after everything that's happened. He walks in. Emma hugs him and offers to make him breakfast. He tells her that he already had room service and explains that he stayed at the hotel. She can understand why he doesn't want to be with Lily right now. Meg asks him to cut her some slack. "She turned to Damian," he points out. He needs time to think things through alone. Meg points out that he's not alone and mentions the blond woman who came by looking for him. He hurries out. They wonder what that was about. Emma changes to ranting at Meg about her obsession with Damian and orders her to let the threesome work things out on their own. Meg storms out.
Holden hurries over to the hotel looking for Maeve. When he turns around, she is standing there with a makeover. "Do you like it?" she asks. They sit down and she admits that she didn't know where else to go and didn't want to leave town. "You look like a million bucks," he says, before asking her if her makeover was the first thing she did with the stolen money. After some encouragement from him, she agrees to turn in the money if he'll show her around.
Maeve and Holden go on a tour of the town. They notice Lily with Damian down the street. She's telling him that she wants to talk to the lawyer alone. He's reluctant but agrees and leaves. The lawyer informs her that she is legally married to Damian. She spots Holden and Maeve together. "Excuse me. Who is this woman?" she demands as she bustles over.
