    Oh That.

    Thursday, May 06 2010

At the station, Craig tells his sister that Ellis is the real criminal here. She wonders how far he would have gone to cover up what he did. Before he can think of anything to say, Carly and Jack barge in. She knees Craig between the legs and he slumps to the floor. Margo helps him up and Carly rants at him. Craig asks to talk to Carly alone. The cops leave and she accuses Craig of stealing Parker's future. He insists that he did all of this for her. She thinks he just wanted a relationship with her again. Craig doesn't deny it and insists that they can still launch Monte Carlo. She refuses to have anything to do with him again. He thinks she's throwing her life away on Jack. "I want you to suffer for this like you never have before," she says. He already is.

Margo and Jack go through the accounts and find the charges which Gabriel made with the debit card. He assumes that Gabriel was blackmailing Craig and that gives him motive to get rid of the young man. They go back in to see Carly and confront him about the blackmail. Craig acts offended but Jack is determined to take him down for this.

At Carly's, Parker listens as Jack and Margo trying to figure out why anyone would attack Gabriel. They're pretty sure this is attempted murder. After Margo leaves, Jack catches his son and asks him what's wrong. Janet walks in and announces she's off to work. Jack doesn't think going to Metro is a good idea. He thinks she needs to rest. "You don't know what I need anymore," she says. He tells her she doesn't need to leave the house or worry about anything. She's sure things will only get more complicated and asks him not to stand in her way.

Margo and Jack are at the station going over the evidence. They talk about the mysterious source of Gabriel's money. They both wish they'd gone to secretarial school when they realize they have to question Carly and Craig.

Margo goes to see her brother and finds him passed out on the couch. She quickly discovers the financial records that Carly printed out. "You stole from Parker's trust fund?" she asks.

Craig is at Gabriel's hospital bedside. He begins telling him to survive and fight his way back. Carly looks in at them and mulls over what Parker told her. She calls her son and tells him to keep his mouth shut about everything. Craig comes out to talk to her. She sneers at him and strides off. He goes back into his son's room. Margo walks in as he gets emotional. She's shocked and asks him what's really going on. She questions him about his family and friends and the fire. He claims he knows nothing and anxiously runs off.

Margo goes to see Jack and tells him about the fire. She thinks it was arson but they have no proof yet. She puts him in charge of the investigation. He points out that he has a conflict of interest in the case but she doesn't see it that way. As they discuss what happened to Gabriel, Parker listens.

Faith and Parker arrive at the station. Margo greets them, which makes things awkward. Before they can explain anything, a call comes in that a building is on fire. After she leaves, Parker tells Faith that they need to run.

Carly and Craig arrive outside of Monte Carlo. Parker and Faith are there. He's panicking that someone could be inside. He tries to run in but his mother stops him. She barks at them to get away from there. Margo begins questioning Carly and Craig. He says it could have been an electrical fire since Gabriel did much of the wiring. He takes Carly aside and they discuss the insurance. Margo yells over that someone was found in the building. Gabriel is taken out. Parker panics more. Margo asks questions about Gabriel's next of kin but no one knows anything.

Margo returns to the scene of the fire. The fire marshal tells her this looks like it could be arson.
