    I've Been Brainwashed.

    Thursday, February 04 2010

Margo arrives at the Lakeview where Lisa and Susan inform her that everyone else has other plans and will be going to the shower on the weekend. Margo pouts but Lisa tries to put a positive spin on things and insists that they jump up and down. Susan thinks that will embarrass her daughter. Alison and Casey arrive. They shout surprise and then kick Casey out so they can eat cake and open gifts. Lisa gives her some lingerie and tells her to make her husband happy in the boudoir. They joke about how many times Lisa has been married. "Alison certainly knows her way around sex," Lisa tells Susan. They bicker about whether or not Alison should change her name when she gets married. She spots Mick smiling at her from across the room and suddenly excuses herself. The other women stay behind and bicker until Emily shows up. They wonder where Ali has vanished to and then Emily begins telling that she is going to have a baby. "Oh no," Susan groans. Emily tells her mother that she just had her eggs harvested.

Downstairs, Margo and Tom talk things over. She's impressed by how much Casey is turning his life around. Tom begins making out with her.

At home, Margo and and Tom are bickering about the Stewarts. They cringe at the fact that Casey is marrying another Stewart woman and worry about what he's doing with his life. Susan arrives and she argues with them about why they haven't told Daniel about Emily's condition. The argument turns over to the wedding. Susan is offended when she thinks they are trying to run everything. "I'll be damned if I am going to be cut out of my daughter's wedding completely!" she yells. Alison and Casey walk into the storm of bickering. "Eloping sound good to you?" he asks her. Everyone calms down and Margo begins handing out pictures of floral arrangements. Margo and Tom announce that they want the couple to live with them after they are married. "Uh oh," Casey says. Susan takes Ali aside and tells her how important all of this is. Ali tells her to stop putting pressure on her and runs out.

Downstairs, Tom tells Margo that Casey wants to follow in his footsteps. He thinks that will be hard since Casey is a convicted felon. "It just seems to me that it's unattainable," he says.

Craig arrives at the Lakeview while Henry and Margo get the party together. He doesn't think they are doing enough and already knows Katie will never fall for this. Margo asks him to convince Simon to convince Katie to stay. Simon and Katie arrive and tell them that they're moving to New York. "There's a broken heart for every light on Broadway," Craig says. Henry brings in the bubbly. Jack and Carly show up before they can toast. Jack reminds Katie that Simon is a fugitive. Craig asks him if he is back with Carly already and then brings up Janet. Margo changes the topic and Henry tries to put a positive spin on things for Katie. They open her gifts. Emma gave her the Snyder family Bible. Margo and Henry got her luggage. Since it is so obvious, they all admit that they are there to talk her out of leaving. Henry starts a slideshow presentation on her life and her many marriages. He talks about how talented and funny she is. "You are the heart and soul of the town," he says. Craig whispers to Simon that he will be breaking the whole town's heart. This is too much for Katie. She knows they are all trying to make her feel guilty for wanting to leave and tries to escape. Margo unfurls a map of all the places that Katie's mom took her when she was little. Katie can't remember half of the places. She's still unimpressed.

At home, Margo tells Henry and her brother that they need to let Katie go, whether they like it or not. They toast to Katie and Simon. Katie arrives. Simon stays outside as she goes in and tells them that she can't leave. Henry goes outside to see Simon. "It actually feels good to be noble for once," Simon muses. He's leaving town... it's what's best for Katie. Henry's impressed and hugs him. As he goes inside and embraces Katie, Simon slips away.
