In the elevator, Chris says sarcastically, "Yeah, thank God Dusty was there to save my dad's life". In their hotel room, Emily tries to get Chris to talk about what is bothering him. Finally Chris tells her that he was arguing with Bob and was fired just before Bob had the stroke! Emily points out that one argument wouldn't cause a stroke but Chris won't listen to her and continues to blame himself. Em tells Chris that the stroke is a golden opportunity for him. "Yeah, I get my lucky break and all it took was for my father to have a stroke," Chris says.

In Old Town, Lily comes across Holden. She tells him about Bob and they head for the hospital to see how things are going. They come into Bob's room and see Kim, who thanks them for coming. Crying she says, "He's my life. I really need him." Realizing that they can't help Kim now, they leave. In Old Town, Lily brings up Kim's love for Bob and tells Holden she still feels the same way about him. Holden refuses to talk about their marriage and will only talk about the divorce papers. Since he won't talk about their past, Lily says there are a few points in the divorce papers that she isn't comfortable with. Holden says he has been as fair as possible and tells her not to talk to him anymore. From now on, he wants their only contact to be done through their lawyers! After talking to Holden, Lily goes looking for Bonnie. She finds the lawyer at the diner and asks Dallas to leave. When they are along Lily asks Bonnie to help her get Holden to talk again! Bonnie refuses, telling Lily that it isn't her job to do that. Annoyed, Lily leaves. Holden comes in, happy to see Bonnie. Lily spots them together, walks right up and says they were both right. And they'll be hearing from her attorney. She leaves. Bonnie apologizes to Holden and says they can postpone their ball game. Holden wants to go ahead and play.

    Family Confrontations

    Wednesday, December 05 2007

Lily and Dusty begin to make love. She goes to put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, which gives Dusty enough time to begin obsessing about Emily's article on Bob. Before she knows what to do, Dusty calls Emily to put a stop to the article. When Em doesn't answer Dusty becomes more upset. Lily realizes this isn't just about business for Dusty. "You're furious at an ex-girlfriend," she says. Dusty tells Lily that he doesn't want Emily back but that he wants her to have something in her life and he believes The Intruder is the something she needs. Lily tells Dusty he needs to let Emily go. They dress to get ready for their day. Lily asks if they'll see each other later and Dusty tells her to call him.

Later in the day Lily returns to The Lakeview but Dusty isn't there. She calls him and asks about a lunch date. He says he'll be there soon but can't give her an exact time because he has other obligations. Lily isn't sure what to think about that. Chris and Emily walk by her, kissing and hugging.

    The Best Laid Plans...

    Tuesday, December 04 2007

Dusty is giving Lily a massage when she jumps up, remembering she has to go to the farm to pick up the girls. Dusty asks if she is nervous and reminds her that the girls love her and things will be fine. Lily is worried, though, because the girls have been with Holden for so long. Dusty tells her to stick with fun girl stuff - pizza and hair braiding. When that doesn't fly with her, he tells Lily to just be honest. She is still worried and he suggests that they back off from one another. Lily goes into his arms, telling him that is out of the question because she needs him. They kiss.

Lily arrives at the farm to find Faith busy with homework. Faith isn't interested in Lily's plans for their night, which throws Lily for a loop. Finally she tells Lily she wants to stay at the farm for the night. Lily asks why. "It just doesn’t feel like home anymore," Faith says. She asks if Lily wants to make things the way they were before the separation and Lily admits that would be nice. She tells Faith, though, that they can't turn back the clock. Faith still doesn't want to go to Lily's because she feels like she would be leaving Holden alone. Natalie walks in. Lily tells her girl's night will have to wait and Nat agrees. She goes upstairs. Lily turns back to Faith, telling her that Holden isn't alone. Faith believes he is because of Lily's new relationship with Dusty. Lily goes out to the porch where Faith finds her a while later. Lily asks her to sit and talk for a bit and tells Faith that Dusty is her best friend and has been since she was a little girl. "You're just friends?" Faith says. Lily tells her that Dusty is very special to her but that Dusty isn't a replacement for Holden. Faith wonders if Holden has someone special, too. Lily doesn't know. Taking Faith's hands, Lily tells her that she loves her and nothing can change that - not divorce or new friends or anything else.

Evan meets with Emily at the diner. She questions him about the deal with the hospital. Later she takes her mock-up of the next days headlines - blasting Bob for not working with Evan! - to Dusty's hotel room. He doesn't like it and Emily tells him to buy her out. Dusty says he can work with the headline! Emily brings up Lily. Dusty brings up Chris and they argue about their various affairs. Emily accuses Dusty of breaking up Holden and Lily! Dusty brings up her prostitute past, angering Emily because Chris doesn't know that part of her past. Dusty takes a step back and says he would never tell Chris the truth. Emily thanks him and begins to go on about Chris being her future. Dusty tells her Chris can't make her happy in the long run and then slams the door to his room in her face. Lily arrives a while later. Dusty asks about the girls and is surprised when Lily tells him the plans fell through because the girls don't want to spend time with her. Upset, Lily tells him that it was too quiet at the house with only a sleeping Ethan and the nanny there so she came to see him. Dusty tells her she can stay with him. Dusty kisses her and they make love.

Lily points out that Holden is the one pushing for the divorce. Holden walks in! Bonnie takes a call from Dallas. Holden makes a snide comment to Lily about having to "work" that weekend, wondering if she will make time for their kids. Lily points out that she is always available for their children. She leaves. Bonnie returns, tells them that Dallas just broke their basketball date and then leaves.

Noah runs into Dusty at Yo's. They chat at the bar for a bit and Dusty sends Noah off to be with his friends. A girl approaches him and Noah blurts out that he is gay. The girl doesn't care and asks him to dance anyway. They go off. Lily walks in, plants a kiss on Dusty and he pulls away. He tells her they aren't alone! He tells her about Noah being there.
