    Eileen, was born Margaret McLarty, the daughter of the late Rev. McLarty (a Methodist minister). Eileen majored in music and minored in dramatics at Greensboro College in North Carolina. Eileen was granted an honorary doctorate in 2005, on the fiftieth anniversary of her college graduation. She was the commencement speaker at Greensboro's graduation ceremony in 2005. She made her professional debut in The Lost Colony, an annual presentation at Manteo, NC. In 1956, she moved to New York and studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater. Eileen appeared in Broadway, Off-Broadway, Regional Theatre, sometimes all the while she was working in daytime television! She has also been in films, is a talented cabaret singer and has sung in many top nightclubs around the country and starred in several one-woman shows! She is also a creative writer and has co-authored two autobiographies, six murder mysterious, as well as a romance novel! Eileen is an active supporter of many charities such as UNICEF, March of Dimes, Cerebral Palsy, Lupus Foundation, and Martha's Table, which benefits poor and homeless mothers and children. She has established a musical scholarship in her father's name at Brevarad College in North Carolina, and a Fine Arts Scholarship in her & her mother's names at their alma mater, Greensboro. Eileen is also a women's rights advocate. Eileen currently resides in Manhattan.
