At the hospital, Katie challenges Chris to take her to a hotel. He's surprised she's pimping herself out to keep his mouth shut. He's also surprised she is willing to lie to her best friend like this. They both admit that they've thought about sleeping together. He agrees to her offer and suggests they just go to his place. She wants to go somewhere special, she claims, though she's looking for delays.
Barbara paces in her room and thinks about kissing Henry. Her mirror reflection tells her that Henry loves her, not Vienna. Barbara admits that she's in love with him and her reflection urges her to go and get him back. "Since when does Barbara Ryan give up without a fight?" she asks herself.
Holden arrives at the hospital and his mom fills him in on what happened with Meg. His sister yells for him and he walks into her room. She's begging for his help. Emma takes her son aside and wonders what to do. She thinks they should call Paul.
Henry returns to Vienna's room and she announces that they should get married tomorrow. He thinks that's soon but she doesn't want to be a balloon in a wedding dress. When he brings up Barbara, she tries to shut the topic down. He still has feelings for Barbara, but Vienna insists that she's his future and Barbara is just a way out. Henry agrees to go along with the ceremony for the baby.
Chris and Katie take a room in Bay City. She looks for excuses and talks about the room. Katie begs him again to keep his mouth shut. When he agrees to it, he gestures to the bed and tells her to take off her clothes. When he tries to help her with the task, she trembles. He guesses she's not up to this and says he just wanted to find out how far she would go. He declares that their deal is off and she needs to come clean with Henry. As she walks out, he stares at the bed and lets out a frustrated sigh.
At Fairwinds, Emily shoves Paul around and screams at him for never telling her what he was thinking and letting her go to jail. He tells her that it was all just an act and apologizes. Em doesn't like being his 'collateral damage' but he begs her to forgive him. She can't do that and walks away to pack her stuff. He continues pleading with her and they argue. Em wants to believe him. Holden calls and asks Paul down to the hospital. Em dismissively waves him away and refuses to wait around for him. Barbara arrives and begins sparring with Emily. Paul tells them not to kill each other while he's gone and departs. The women bicker and Babs makes excuses for Meg before announcing that she is moving back to the hotel and not hiding from anyone anymore. Em tells Barbara that she's pathetic for running after Henry. Babs tells her she's the one who is pathetic because she is sticking it out with Paul even when he's treated her the way he has. She takes a picture of Paul because she knows she can't be in his life as long as Emily is too.
When Paul arrives at the hospital, Holden reads him the riot act. Emma stops him. She doesn't blame Paul for this, but she does blame him for ruining Meg's life for years. Meg yells for Paul. He sits by her side and tells her this is all his fault. He knows that he can't make things right. The only thing they can do is move on with their lives. "I'm not good for you," he says, admitting that he loves Emily and his life is with her. Meg weeps. She doesn't know if she can get better without him. Loving her is not something he will ever regret... but she has to get better for their little girl. He holds her face in his hands, kisses her and stands. Meg says she'll never regret him either. He walks out in tears and Emma says that the doctors think Meg should be taken far away to recover. She asks him to take care of Eliza.
Katie and Chris arrive at the Lakeview and corner Vienna and Henry. Vienna wants to run but Chris nudges Katie to talk to Henry. Vienna declares that they are getting married tomorrow and Henry goes off to get some invitations. Chris and Katie try to reason with Vienna and she tells them this is none of their business. Henry returns and says that he's ready to get married tomorrow. Chris and Katie run off. Barbara walks in so Vienna makes a point of shoving an invitation in her hand and walking off. "This wedding, it isn't what you want," Barbara tells him. He claims he has responsibilities. She thinks they can be happy together but he insists that he has to put the baby above his own needs. "You have no idea how sorry I am," he says, walking away. She cries.
Paul goes home. Emily approaches him and tells him she's still home. She feels stupid for loving him when he hurts her like this. He begs her not to take his family away. Paul still wants to raise Eliza with her. The little girl walks into the room and climbs into Paul's arms. Emily laughs and tells Paul he's not playing fair.
Katie meets with Chris at the hospital and asks him why he kept his mouth shut. She cries and tells him that she just wants Henry and Vienna to have a 'happily ever after'. He's not sure that kind of thing is possible anymore. She says she almost had it with Brad. He suggests that's just a fantasy so she gets offended. She says he doesn't know anything about anything, but he thinks she needs to take her marriage off the pedestal a bit. He admits that he lied for her. They kiss.
Back at the hospital, Meg gets dressed and Holden explains that she's going to a hospital near DC. Emma promises to visit her all the time. Meg knows she needs to leave home so she can come back again. She leans on Holden and the three of them walk out together.
Barbara goes back to her room and rants at the mirror before tearing up the invitation.
