I was also thinking (dangerous)....I wouldn't mind seeing either ABC or Soapnet....have reruns of AMC from the original episode....It would allow us to see how some of the present characters have REALLY CHANGED over the years...which means that we have too (now its really getting scary)....and also show some of the characters that were left out of today's show.....Phil, Chuck, Wallingford, Charles and as AMCGUY says...Donna Beck....Kelly, Kitty....etc...etc....the reruns could last for....well 40 years..........a start would be the 1980 PV high school reunion.....thats for AMCGUY.

I hope TPTB do read these posts, because from what I am reading....the viewers would love to see more of the old AMC shows on a regular basis..... it would be good for us....but you know what ???? It might be good business too.

Thanks, fromthestart...maybe if we keep referring to the reunion, the writers will get into it.

I don't know all the ins and outs of using old footage, but it would seem to me that ABC probably owns all the rights to every episode of AMC going back to the beginning. In this marvelous youtube 21st Century, you'd think there would be some market or interest in putting vintage AMC episodes online. Other than the cost to convert the originals to digital, there would be no monetary investment, but again, I'm not an expert in this area.

Granted, converting EVERY episode might be overkill, but how cool would it be to see Episode #1? Or Jenny and Greg's wedding? Or Cindy's poignant death in Stuart's arms (that one still gets me). Or a highlight reel of Cliff and Nina's four weddings? Tad and Dixie. Brooke and Erica's face-offs. All the great villains (including my all-time fave Billy Clyde Tuggle). All Erica's husbands. All Adam's wives.

For god's sake...put a Columbia University intern on the job of piecing together the montages and posting them. It's a 40-year wealth of content...seems a shame to let it languish on a shelf.

Jumps may not believe it, but I do get tired of HAVING to complain about Ryan, Erica, Kendall, et al....It would be pleasant to sit back and relax, just watching the old AMCGUY said...some of the REAL special episodes...from the past that brought AMC to the forefront of AMCGUY I don't know all the problems....e.g...litigation concerning previous actors rights, etc...I don't really know......BUT it sure would be nice.....then instead of me dicing Erica and Ryan I could comment on "Oh yeah I remember that" or "thats right-I didn't remember it happened that way".....we can sure hope.

who thought that a romance between ryan and grandmom erica would be a good thing, it just nasty

Well I hate to revert back, but I just read "spoilers" and later this week Ryan and Erica decide to take it to the next level and make love for the first time......there is a line from one of my very favorite movies WHITE CHRISTMAS........ Bing Crosby to Danny Kaye...."pushing, pushing"....I do believe that applies here.

to Jumps....whereas we have ASSUMED Adam and Annie have been TOGETHER....I have this bad feeling the viewers are going to have front row seats to Ryan and Erica.

I would have to say that this was the best episode that Charles Pratt has written during his time as head writer. It was so good to see everyone. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who shed some tears on this episode. I enjoyed seeing the flashbacks. My favorite is hearing Adam stumble thru naming his wives in the correct order and Erica breezing through her list...LOL. I'm glad that Ryan mentioned Gillian. Seeing the flashback of Julia and Noah on their wedding day was awesome. I loved this episode. If only I could rewind time back to when all the characters whom we miss were still on the show.

I only saw about 5 minutes of this today as I was heading out to work. I can't wait to curl up on the sofa when I get home and watch the whole thing. It looked wonderful and that little 5 minute teaser brought back a flood of memories of watching this with Mom, sis and Grandma. Sniffle!

Although Gram was a dyed in the wool ATWT fan (And Payton Place, that saucy old lady! LOL) she would tolerate AMC when she came to our house. ;-)
