    Blame Games!

    Friday, May 22 2009
Zach takes the blame for Kendall, Scott blames himself and Adam, Adam begs to see Stuart, Jesse questions more suspects and Marian breaks down.

Tad is dancing with a nurse when he collapses. Jake rushes in! Tad makes more jokes and says he has a right to only see the good right now. He tells Jake to lighten up, too. Jake tells Tad how much he has always looked up to him.

Jesse reminds Liza of her past criminal activities when she skirts his questions about the murder. She finally admits she was at the manse! Jesse wants more details and Liza says she was there to see Colby but didn't get past the front gate. Colby tries to comfort Scott but he is inconsolable. She continues down the hall and runs into Liza. Liza asks Colby to lie for her and tell Jesse that they only talked at the gate before the murder. She says she has no one to back her up because she went for a walk, alone, after they talked. Colby refuses because she thinks Liza might have killed Stuart! She demands the truth and Liza admits she was in the mansion when Stuart was killed. She says she heard someone else in the manse and left. She swears she didn't shoot anyone that night. Colby still doesn't believe her and Liza says this is the exact reason she needs an alibi. "I came here so we could have a second chance," Liza says. Colby hurries off to see Adam. Jake comes by and Liza hugs him. She says this baby is her second chance at motherhood and her only chance to make things right with Colby. Jake says she can't have Amanda's baby because that wasn't part of their plan. He points out that Colby isn't in danger from Adam and that Liza needs to give Colby time. She says he doesn't want to help her because of Colby's true parentage!

JR tries to keep Adam calm but he demands to see Stuart. Crying, Adam begs to see his twin, angry at himself for egging so many people on and risking Stuart's life. "What kind of a god would let me live and allow the murder of Stuart?" Adam wonders. JR says this might be Adam's second – and last! – chance to turn his life around. Scott overhears and says he doesn't deserve another chance and demands to know why Stuart was dressed up like Adam. Adam says it was Stuart's idea because he wanted to look good at the signing of the new will, giving Scott the company. This makes Scott feel even worse and he storms out. JR tells Adam that Scott is just hurt right now but Adam says he deserves the blame. Colby runs in and hugs Adam but he starts to have trouble breathing so she goes to get a nurse.

Kendall is sleeping beside Ian's hospital crib. She dreams about seeing Stuart through the window and pointing the gun at him. A gunshot wakes her and she sees Ryan watching her. He asks about the dream and Kendall says she dreamt that she was in the mansion with a gun, telling herself to kill Adam for Ian. She says it was just a bad dream. He tells her that Annie turned herself in and she goes to see Ian. Jesse watches from the hall and then tells Ryan that Annie will be sent back to a psychiatric hospital. Jesse asks about Kendall and then tells Ryan about Zach's request for an immediate arraignment. He says they don't have enough evidence to arraign Zach and Ryan remembers grabbing Kendall, who was still holding the gun, outside the mansion. Jesse watches Kendall closely through the window. Jesse wonders if Zach really is guilty – or covering for someone else! A nurse comes in to tell Kendall about Zach's upcoming arraignment.

After talking to Ryan, Jesse tracks down Colby at the nurse's station and asks about Liza's alibi. Colby sticks with Liza's story at first and then has second thoughts. A while later Jesse finds Liza and says he knows she lied about her talk with Colby! Liza admits she was at the mansion but swears she didn't kill Stuart. "I know who did, though," she says.

Scott returns to Stuart's home, finds Marian crying on the floor and hugs her. He tells her how Stuart dressed up like Adam, blaming himself for coming home and getting involved with Adam and JR. Marian insists he isn't to blame and that Stuart was always proud of him.

One officer cuffs Zach to a chair as another brings in Annie and cuffs her to a bench. Annie tells him that she turned herself in. He is surprised, especially when she tells him that she saved Adam's life at the mansion and in the basement! She asks if he really killed Stuart and then says she'll see him in hell. An officer leads her away as Zach demands an immediate arraignment. He tells the interrogating officer that he went after Adam because of Ian's 'death' but shot Stuart by accident. He even tells the officer about the prior threats and again demands to be arraigned. The officer says they have to finish ballistics tests first but when Zach pushes him, he says they can probably set the arraignment for this afternoon. Ryan arrives as Zach is about to be taken for the arraignment. He tells Ryan not to tell Kendall about this but to make sure the boys know he loves them. Ryan leaves. Kendall arrives. Reporters try to get Zach to tell them something but he focuses on Kendall, telling her to go back to the boys and stay away from him. Ryan walks back in. Kendall asks why Zach is doing this. She finally realizes that Zach believes she is guilty. She asks if Ryan believes the same thing!

Scott returns to the hospital and, along with JR, watches Adam talk to Stuart in the morgue. He continues to blame Adam for Stuart's death. Inside, Adam tells Stuart that he was the better brother, the better caretaker and the better man. He tells Stuart that he kept the painting of the cove, wishing they had seen the place together. "You painted as you lived. Gently and richly," he says.

Wow....I'm going to need a box of tissue watching Adam say good-bye to Stuart. I remember when he was a painter in the attic. He always set Adam straight. I believe someday he will reappear as a ghost and continue to set Adam straight.

    I don't trust Liza.

Tad's hilarious. I am enjoying this.

Huh? How can Ryan remembering Kendall holding the gun when she dropped it w/o firing it and then running off?

We must NOT be seeing things in order and they are NOT showing us some missing pieces. Like how David got another gun. I still want to know that.

Oh wow. It is gonna be a real tearjerker today. Between Marian coming back to such bad news and Adam talking to Stuart's body!

I wonder who the guilty party is? I guess they can't blame this on Annie because she saved Adam's life. I really don't understand where they are going with her story line.

On yesterday's show why did Ryan ask Annie to turn herself in but he didn't ask the same of Kendall when he found out she was driving the car that killed Greenlee.

I hope they lock Zach up and throw away the key. He's maybe not guilty of shooting Stuart, but he sure as heck did kill Josh, to save his precious Kendall, whom he is still defending, don't ask me why.

And Scott, first it's his fault and then it's Adam's fault. He needs to make up his mind. I feel so bad for Adam, this is going to eat him up alive.

Come on Scott feels quilty because of his involvment with Adam and JR. That is totally understandable. And so is his blaming Adam. It is grief talking.

I'm not a forensics expert, I just play one on the Internet.

If Kendall didn't shoot the gun, who made the bullet hole through the terrace window? Could there have been someone standing behind Kendall? If you go back and watch the shows again, the glass panes are intact while Kendall is outside, pointing the gun toward Stuart.

After the murder, you can clearly see a bullet hole in one of the window panes, so either Kendall fired her gun or someone else did from outside. Unless the pieces of glass from the pane fell on the OUTSIDE of the house, which means the bullet came from a gun inside...assuming the writers care about things like, you know, facts.

Even with the noise of a thunderstorm, you'd have to think Kendall would have heard a gun being fired behind her, wouldn't you? But if it was someone behind her, that would open up the suspect pool dramatically.

My money is still on the idea that Tad witnessed who pulled the trigger and just can't remember yet thanks to Jesse's itchy finger. Assuming the Pine Valley Police Farce has a competent forensics department, it would at least help to know which was the murder gun.

Then again, the way DNA and blood samples get switched in that town, whose to say someone couldn't mess with ballistics reports, too!

AMCguy....I think we are only seeing bits and pieces of what really happened that night. And what we have seen has not been in any kind of order.

"Jesse reminds Liza of her criminal past..."

    Ya mean like:

"Hey Liza, remember that crazy summer back in 1981 when you falsely accused me of raping you, and I had to go on the run with Tad's sister Jenny, who thought her beloved Greg didn't love her any more because you told her he blamed you for being paralyzed? Ahh, memories."

Yes, I'd say Jesse has a point.

Good point, jumps...but if we waited for weeks until everything was explained without making any critical, analytical, comical or snarkical comments on this web site, what fun would THAT be?
