shepmajor...I've been to eye on soaps a few times. Was the post about Annie dying in the fire? If so, yep, that was me. Although I was really kidding about that. I am totally enjoying crazy Annie. MCE is doing an outstanding acting job.

Yes, Annie had a bad childhood, but so did Ryan. So did Zach. So did most of the people in PV.

Now about why Annie lied about Richie, we only have her word for that. That has been the story she has told. Who knows if it was really true?

Quote lovesit: """Whih leads to the next question, how did Annie know Ryan was going to pawn Emma off during the massive storm? Too many questions about the schematics of this kidnapping..."""

Well, because that's what Ryan was ALWAYS doing since gaining full custody of Emma - so he could go chasing around after Greenlee all the time.

Thought that was YOU! (It sounded like you/your humor) HAHAHAHA! Good one!

I used to wank on Annie for being too "milquetoast"... which I'm sure you know if you've ever read any of my columns... But I began to enjoy her once they gave her some fire. You're right, MCE IS doing an outstanding job!

Yes, Ryan had a bad childhood - agreed - and I felt for him UP TO A POINT. He crossed that point a lonnnng time ago, though. He loves to accept all the hero worship and accolades the Valleyites bestow upon him but he's SOOO not what they purport him to be! He's not a hero. He's not a "good man". That, more than anything else, bugs the heck out of me. At least with people like David or Adam? they OWN who and what they are. They're arses and they fully acknowledge it. If just ONCE Ryan would own his own arse-hattedness? It might drive him up a notch in my esteem. Know what I mean?

I know we only have Annie's word on WHY she did what she did to Richie, but I do tend to believe it. Richie did prove himself to be quite the sociopathic sicko while he was on. After seeing him, and then Annie's dad on canvas? I believe that she was telling the truth about THAT much.

shepmajor - that last part was pure sarcasm. But I am glued to the TV waiting for all the answers!

Lovesit Iam a huge annie fan both ways and especially when shes crazy and i agree even though i dont totally blame ryan i still cant stand him and ithink if ryan and paid more attention annies plan could not have worked and i think she figured it out right before which i why at first i thought annie couldnt have done the kidnapping it seemed way to fast but this is soap

shepmajor i agree with everything you said i think having everyone annie loved abandon her by ignoring her or die put her in a fragile state and going through this year whihc was worse than most set her off i dont blame ryan compleltey but i dont think he helped things either and i think ryan should have tried to help or pay attention to annie and his daughter

Ryan does own up. I can't how many times he has taken the blame for what went wrong with him and Annie.

Guess Ryan will NOT win any points for saving Emma's life, that Annie put in danger, with the crowd here.

Jumps i believe annie about her needing to protect richie from her family because his year in pine valley was filled with chaos and craziness so as crazy as annie is i think she wasnt lying about that

Posted by brucas14 at Tuesday, November 18 2008 12:49 PM

i agree ryan does own up to his mistakes but he just comes off a smug to me and like he never learns from them maybe my problem is with kendall when she waso n and greenlee always putting ryan on a pedestal tha annoys me

Posted by lovesit at Tuesday, November 18 2008 12:55 PM

When I see Ryan own up to his mistakes, my impression is that he is still being selfish. He never learns to put someone else in front of himself, so when he "takes responsibility" I see him as just placing more attention on himself. More selfish behavior. That is the word I think of when I see his character.
