I am really going to miss "All My Children" and I wish they had not ended it with those cliffhangers. I'm very disappointed with what they did with Erica's character. She matured so much throughout the years; she started to care for others and not just herself. Now, they seem to have her regress to the arrogant, self-centered Erica of the 70's and 80's.

The View was great today. I'm so glad they brought back Greg and Jenny. That was beautiful.

I can not believe this is how they end it. Dumb! I won't watch online... bye after 35+ wonderful years good bye!

I agree with you mamajj fully on the jasam wedding. But I think that they could have given viewers probably 2 hours of AMC so that fans would not have been given a cliffhanger.

I think that the tribute that the View did for AMC was beautiful and very touching.

((((WINIFRED))))) Oh I cheered when I saw her. I used to just love her.

moonspinner...Yes the View was fantastic. Since I was 10 back in 83 I did not watch Jenny & Greg but have heard so much about them. it was great seeing all those flashbacks w/Angie & Jesse. The prom was hilarious.

BTW I am glad "THE VIEW" brought back JENNY and GREG....Otherwise it only consisted of the "current cast" members. JENNY and GREG and inlcuding JESSE and ANGIE in those old teenage scenes spanned that bridge between generations of viewers. The "reading" at the end of "THE VIEW" by AGNES NIXON was special and brought out what her idea of the show was from the very beginning. IMHO

If that "cliffhanger" was supposed to generate interet and encourage us to continue watching on-line, it failed miserably. We got a few closures but what about Krystal and Jack or Krystal and Caleb? What about a happy closure for AJ. There were so many stories that could have been resolved. They spent so much valuable time with Cara and David and Griff and other unimportant folks that they forgot about the veteran characters whom we love. The bright spot of this entire week for me was Stuart returning and relieving Adam of his guilt. And the second bright spot was Jack finally standing up to Erica.

I watched the view today, and like the rest of you, Agnes brought me to tears when she began crying. After 41 years it had to be difficult coming into that building where they had taped for so many years.

I've loved AMC since day one, but I will not go further than today. I really don't care who got shot, and I really don't care who else David has saved. It is a moot point for me. Will miss you guys.

Posted by mamajj at Friday, September 23 2011 12:33 PM said there were no Spew ads in your area during the show? I am getting them here. just saw one. I was just grateful that they didn't bring one of those people out during the view. They have been coming on all week.

You got it mamajj. Even though i no longer watch gh i love jasam & i'm glad they're finally getting married. I read gh recaps from time to time & can't wait to read the comments from today's show on wedding/franco fiasco.

I am slightly puzzled that with all the flashbacks we did not get a dab of Phoebe and Langley. Of course, most younger viewers wouldn't remember what an integral part of the show they became. At least we had a brief visit with Kate. And, nothing against nuLiza, but even now (especially with the references to her) I really miss the original Liza Colby!
