All-in-all not a bad way to wrap it up! 40 years is very difficult, after the butchering this show has taken by its last two writing/producing teams, to wrap up in a way that would satisfy us all.

Thank you fellow posters, for all your comments and insights ... I came in to the board late in the run but enjoyed all of your comments greatly. We shall see what the future holds!

I was a little let down with this last show. It should have been better, bigger AMC worth. All storylines should have been wrapped up starting with fresh storylines for the webcast.

    But again thank you.

What an awful ending! I've barely watched the show the last 5 or 6 years because of how bad the writing was and because of everything revolving around Ryan. After watching the last few weeks, I really don't think I'll be watching online.

The best moment of the day was Jack telling Erica he didn't give a damn in his best Rhett Butler fashion.

My husband and I are well into our second bottle of champagne and I have shed some tears.

I want to say how much I have enjoyed reading all your posts and how much I will miss this part of my day.

I wish you all, and your teams, all the best!

beenaroundalongtime.....That was a very nice thought and well articulated. Besides losing AMC (Only temporary I hope) many of us will miss the AMC board. There have been many times we have agreed to disagree and we had fun putting that into words. I may post on the board if it should continue, but it won't be quite the same as there will be no new stories to debate (BTW I was ALWAYS right you know). If some of us do post (as in my case) we know we will not get an immediate response (in fact it may take days)...because of no current storyline. It would be nice, however, if we do come across some information about the "new" show, that we will pass it on to this board for faithful viewers to read.

There are WAY too many posters for me to thank each one personally for allowing my weird sense of humor into your lives. It has been a joy to "spar" with those who chose to vouch for some of their favorite characters (Some WERE misguided, however)....It has been a lot of this part of the day ALWAYS has for quite awhile now. Guess we will go out and buy AMC stuff (hope that ABC doesn't get a "cut" though)

This last episode was horrible. TOOOO many loose ends they never tied up. Hats off to Jack telling the Queen Kane off-now that was good. Seriously-what happens to Krystal? Who is the other patient? Does Colby ever get a life? job even? whatever happened to Bianca's Ex getting some custody time? Where was Caleb? Did Maya keep Lucy? Where did she end up? Jake & Amanda-did they get to adopt? It was just horrible. They could of went down memory laneS a bit. A toast to past characters, etc. Not everyone will watch this on line. The writers have NO respect of loyal fans of the SHOW not a video feed.
sorry-but it was HORRIBLE-wait did I say that again?

I taped the View also, and texted my sister like when they were on Oprah, Jesse & Angie always look younger than on AMC.
Really a sad day, some of today's story lines sound really good and some are really sad. I still would have liked to see Damon and some of the others back this week. Hopefully we will get to see AMC on line but it will never be the same.
Tomorrow will change my dvr to cancel taping when AMC comes on, will not be watching the chew.

I believe that ABC'S original intent was to have a TWO HOUR finale, but for some reason it was scrapped. Too bad.....I haven't seen the show yet as the DVR is recording now, but it would have been nice (if they didn't do it) to show scenes from the past EVEN if different cast members were involved.
A LOT of TV history here folks......Again from the other day -one of the most tear inducing scenes for MRS FROM was GRANDMA KATE blowing a goodbye kiss to the audience. That one little scene "got her"
