In The Middle Of The Night.

    Tuesday, September 13 2011
Brot confesses to Natalia, Ryan doesn't like labels, Greenlee fears being alone, and Krystal and Liza commiserate.

Natalia surprises Brot at the station. She wonders what he's working on so late. He responds, "My resignation letter." She can't understand why he would want to do this, but knows something has been bothering him for awhile. He says he can't keep lying. He can't be a cop anymore because he can't pretend he's on the right side of the law. Brot confesses his involvement in Jesse switching babies. He doesn't care about his job. He just wants to make it right. He says this isn't the first time he's made a bad call that cost people. In Iraq, he switched shifts with someone but his friend died during his shift. He wonders why it had to be his friend, who had a family, and not him. Natalia assures him it wasn't his fault. Natalia is grateful Brot was there for Jesse so he didn't have to grieve for Ellie alone. He asks if any of this will make her stop loving him. She tells him she could never stop loving him. They head home where they make love.

Jake enters ConFusion at closing time and finds Ryan, who was wired after the David mess and didn't want to keep Greenlee awake. Jake congratulates him on nailing David, who has been arrested. Jake calls him a hero. Ryan doesn't understand why people label him that. Jake reminds him that he rescues people, but Ryan only sees it as looking out for people. Jake bemoans being labeled Joe Martin Jr. because it's a lot to live up to, especially being a great husband and father. Ryan starts thinking about his own father, who was nothing like Joe. He wants to be completely present with Greenlee and his kids. He says they have to put the past behind them and move on. They toast to dumping the baggage.

Jake goes home and curls up in bed with Amanda.

Greenlee drops by Kendall's as their men give their statements to the cops about David. Greenlee was restless at home and wanted to share her idea for Fusion with Kendall. She wants to create a computer program to help women see what they will look like in the future and provide products to help them fix what they don't like and accentuate what they do. Kendall loves it, but she doesn't want to neglect her family for work right now. Kendall suggests Greenlee go someplace romantic with Ryan and forget everything else for awhile. Greenlee doesn't want to forget everything else. Kendall wonders what's got her so spooked. Greenlee admits she felt alone when she came up with her idea when no one was home with her. She recalls feeling that way growing up and worries that while she has Ryan now, he could be gone tomorrow. Kendall assures her she won't lose Ryan, but after pretending that Ryan was dying, Greenlee realized that someone could take him from her at any moment. Kendall consoles her. Ryan shows up and says Zach is probably still at the station. Greenlee hugs Kendall and tells her she loves her. Kendall returns the sentiment.

Scott finds Colby packing at the mansion. He can't believe how empty the house is after years of it being so vibrant. Scott offers the gatehouse if she wants to move in there. She appreciates it but she's hoping things work out for him and Madison. He is hopeful, saying they're in a new place now. Colby is staying with Liza for now because at least she's there, which is more than she can say about her dad. She can't believe Adam didn’t show up after she called about JR's latest meltdown. Scott tells her they have to protect themselves now because they are the new generation of Chandlers. No matter what happens, they won't lose each other.

When Krystal can't sleep at home, she heads to the restaurant. Liza stops by when she sees the light on. Krystal lets her in even though they're closed. She pours them a drink as they discuss David's arrest. Liza tells her David called her to represent him. She notes she's not happy no matter what side of the law she's on. She envies Krystal, but Krystal counters that she's doing inventory at three in the morning so she doesn’t have to feel so lost. They talk about their daughters and the men they've shared: Adam and Tad. Liza hopes her regrets are proof that she's learned something along the way. Krystal thinks Liza's learned a lot. The women agree they'll be there for each other as friends. Colby shows up and Liza consoles her over leaving the mansion, which Colby considers her home. Krystal looks at a photo of Babe.

Tomorrow's Pine Valley spoilers for All My Children:

Colby wants Maya to move in with her and Liza.

    Dixie dreams of Babe.

Maya makes a decision about her baby.

BULLSH!T! I can't believe this crap! Ryan's the second coming of Jesus and David's in jail?

Please, please oh soapgods let Kendall's heart fall out of her chest, Zach's brain fall out of his head, and Greenlee just dry up and wither away. Then see how long it takes the HERO/ZERO Ryan to find another woman and another cause.

Then there's Jessie! So, there are no legal ramifications for him burying a newborn in a public park under a freaking tree? Nothing's going to happen to him for keeping someone else's kid as his. AND he can keep his job? AND he had no problem putting David under arrest knowing what he had done himself? Sorry, I hope Angie's eyes catch on fire and turn to dust right in front of all of these jacka$$es.

So what about the other patients of David's? What's Ryan going to do about them? Is it so long and good luck getting better?

I hate this freaking crap! HATE IT!!!!!!!

I think it is time to start thinking about my personal health.
A number of people who retired from my profession did so with ulcers and/or high pressure. I was fortunate and did not have those symptoms and retired in pretty darn good health. SOOOOO why in the world would I continue to watch a show on-line (especially if it includes certain people) that annoy the h*ll out of me ??? These are fictional characters that are shallow, self-righteous and literally think of themselves as heroes, because the writers told them they are. Now they are trying to convince us too. Over the years during my TV viewing I have watch a number of shows who had characters with the same thoughts....THEY WERE COMEDIES....At the end of those shows I ended up laughing and feeling good about what I had just watched. With the last couple of weeks, especially I literally feel - "this is ridiculous - Why watch a show where I cannot enjoy their self-righteous attitudes and methods.

I wish TPTB would have held a contest that would have allowed the winner to write for a week of filming for AMC....I for one would have put some of the characters where the sun doesn't shine.....Some may call it Pine Valley....I have other names for it.

Great idea, fromthestart...I would have LOVED a chance to write for the show as it wound down...although there would have been so many hurdles and dead-end stories that would need to be undone first with precious little time.

That said, I actually liked today's's clear they are tying up a few things and setting the table for the future of AMC, whatever and wherever that may be. The comment about Scott and Colby being the "next generation" of Chandlers would make sense going forward, given Jacob Young is not staying on as JR and the new show would need a foundation of Chandlers to continue. What worries me more is whether there will be any Martins?

I still think the ideal solution is for the new incarnation of AMC to begin at some point in the future, maybe 10 or even 15 years from now. Kathy and Jenny Martin, Miranda, Spike, Ian, Trevor and so on would all be teenagers or in their early 20s, and could be the nucleus of the new show yet connected to the past. Any of the current cast that wants to stay on could be aged a little, and there'd be all new storylines yet anchored to the current connections between the various families.

Ruin should take a flying leap. I hope David found a way to resurrect Patrick Curry for Ruin! GreenImp - who cares? Krystal???? GMAB She's still a HO. She's dormant but still a HO. Imo Colby needs to grow up. Had she shown any interest in the family business or anything other than that "blog" maybe she'd be able to do something other than call Daddy.

today wasn't that interesting to me.
Glad to see Liza and Krystal making nice. What a waste of their acting talents here.

AMCguy......I would prefer a new generation of characters..with maybe one anchor character (TAD would probably satisfy almost everyone)....START FRESH...Good idea.

    Hi all.

Well the show is starting here but from that recap all I have to say is YAWN!!!!

Why didn't we get to see David calling everyone "simple minded" "I saved your lives or someone you love" none of you will ever begin to understand what I've discovered" & on & on. Nope left hanging again. And WHY hasn't that whole lab been searched yet. You know Babe is in there some where. AAAHHHHH Let's just move it along already.

Does Jake & Ryan really think David will stay in jail. LMAO That man always gets out. besides why should he pay for his crimes if no one else does. JESSE?!?!?!

With only a week in a half left I would think the would pick up a bit. Bring back Babe already.

Amcguy....I absolutely love that idea. FF 15 years. The kids are all grown, 1 or 2 pillars of the show left. I could get into that.

Hello to all my poster friends.

There are ONLY 8 episodes after today...That's not many right ???? I would venture to say that while SOME people may be pleased....That MORE people are p**sed at what have been passed on to us as great endings. Just going by what I read on various message boards - that's all. Since the final episodes have already been filmed....I guess TPTB could care less.
