    Taking A Step Back.

    Thursday, July 07 2011
Tad and Cara rethink their arrangement, Marissa confronts Bianca, and Kendall gets a surprise.

At Fusion, Ryan tells Bianca and Kendall that Griffin never got on the plane to Chile. Kendall fears something went wrong. Bianca and Ryan try to assure her this isn't like Zach. Bianca asks why Ryan is even looking for Griffin. Ryan wants answers when it comes to David and is hoping Griffin can help. Kendall tells her sister "Erica" spent the night with David in his hotel room. Bianca gets upset and leaves. Kendall and Ryan talk about Griffin's connection to David. Kendall fiercely defends Griffin saying he would never fall prey to David's manipulations. Ryan suggests they find out why Griffin didn’t get on the plane and they leave.

At the house, Tad tells Cara he doesn't necessarily want a divorce, but maybe just a step back. He wants more from her than gratitude and isn't comfortable with their in-name-only marriage anymore. Cara thinks they are more than friends, which can lead to other things. Tad assumes she's trying to talk herself in having feelings she doesn't have. He doesn't want her in his bed just because she's grateful. Tad points out they've both had magical relationships and he's too proud to settle for anything less. Kendall and Ryan show up and tell Cara Griffin never got on the plane. She worries the court will find him in violation of his community service. Tad agrees to look for him and a relieved Kendall and Ryan leave. Cara tells Tad he is important to her, but she doesn’t know how to fix this. Tad says the only way to make things work is to be strictly roommates. No more dates, kissing or holding hands. After three years they can part ways with no pain or guilt.

Ryan brings Kendall to the hospital where she is supposed to meet with her new doctor. Ryan leaves her to break into David's office. Kendall recalls her moments with Griffin and is physically affected. She gets checked out by the nurse, but she insists she's fine. She runs out to the hallway and sees Griffin.

JR tries to explain to Marissa the help he received when it comes to her, as Scott walks in. The cousins argue about the gatehouse and then Marissa asks Scott to give them a minute alone. Marissa demands to know who has been helping him. JR admits it's Bianca. Marissa is taken aback, but JR says Bianca just gave him a few pointers. It was nothing he wasn't going to eventually figure out himself. JR gets a call and Marissa leaves.

Marissa heads to Krystal's where she sees Bianca. Marissa says she knows Bianca has been helping JR. Bianca elaborates and tells her about the music box and the orange soda and chips. Marissa is blown away, but calls it manipulation and demands to know why she would be part of that. Bianca declares she had to because she knew she would never be able to do it herself. Bianca doesn’t think they should see each other for a while and Marissa agrees.

Mookie shows up at the mansion and finds Maya helping Asher down the stairs. Colby takes over and leads her man out of the house. Mookie tells Maya he is staying in town for her. Scott walks in, as he fires his contractor over the phone. Mookie asks if he needs a replacement and Scott hires him after Maya vouches for him. Once Scott leaves, Maya questions Mookie's newfound employment, pointing out he doesn’t need the money. Mookie says he took it so he could be close to her. He tries to kiss her as she works, but she pushes him away. He reminds her he told her he'd never hit her again.

JR confronts Scott at the gatehouse for firing the contractor. Scott knows he was trying to sabotage the project with that guy. The cousins take shots at each other and Scott announces once he builds the house, he is moving in. JR accuses Scott of wanting to be near Marissa. Scott thinks she will need someone on her side and declares he won't let JR hurt her again. JR in turn throws Madison in his face. Scott won't say anything to Marissa because he knows JR will screw it up all on his own.

After Colby takes Asher to the hospital and fill his pain meds, they return to the mansion. As Asher waits for Colby by the pool, he secretly pops a pill, despite just having taken one.

All My Children" and "One Life to Live" will live on — on the Web.

Disney’s ABC has sold the online rights to the two long-running soaps, which are scheduled to go off the air in September, as part of a deal with TV, film and music company Prospect Park, The Post has learned.

Sources said the daily dramas will pick up where they left off on a new, as-yet-unnamed, TV-focused online network once the soaps finish their four-decade run on ABC.

Prospect Park, founded in 2008, is run by executives Rich Frank, a former Disney Studios boss, and Jeff Kwatinetz. Both are executive producers of USA Network’s hit show, "Royal Pains."

The firm will take charge of the same cast, crew and talent — even soap star Susan Lucci as the villainous Erica Kane — and continue the story lines.

Prospect Park is said to be finalizing its current round of funding for its Hulu-style venture in the next month to 45 days. Other unnamed financial backers are involved. The financial terms couldn’t be learned.

The soaps are expected to be the first of a number of brand-name TV shows to eventually land at the site.

News of the deal will be a huge relief to soap fans who have been campaigning for ABC to keep them on air. The broadcast network said in April it was dumping them for much less expensive, unscripted programs, "The Chew" and "Revolution."

"All My Children" launched in 1970 and "One Life to Live" began life in 1968.

Dang, Ryan gets in everybody's business. Does he have a job. Griffin does not need you to rescue him. Put the tights, cape and mask away.

Now he is breaking into David's office. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a crime.

Bianca knows how to get to Marissa. She gave JR some good pointers. Now Marissa wants Bianca. She doesn't know if she in entirely into guys or what.

JR is worried about Scott and Marissa. JR, you are worried about the wrong person.

Now Asher is a drug addict.

    Hi all.

Great news today. I just heard it on my local ABC7 news. I just hope they stop killing off all our characters. And I really have to wonder how many of the actors will stick around to do a show online. Being an online actor vs a TV actor are two very different things. But still good news none the less.

cbf, I read that is mostly a rumor about AMC and OLTL but the way these storylines are going if it's true I hope they get new writers.

Marissa is considering being gay - so much for all those bogus theories about it's not a choice. However if it's a choice between JR and Bianca I'd rather be alone.

Apparently breaking and entering isn't necessarily a crime in Pine Valley - it seems to depend on who is breaking and entering and what they're breaking into.

One day awhile ago Ryan did mention going to the office. I have no idea what he supposedly does at Cambias.

cbf and cab313......As long as its DAVID'S office, etc....JESSE will ALWAYS look the other way......Friends of JESSE are NOT subject to the same laws as the average person in Pine Valley

I just saw a report that says ABC has confirmed the multi-year deal for AMC and OLTL to go online.

Well the news "popping up" on yesterday and today's board actually raises NEW questions.......

AMANDA, CARA AND BIANCA are leaving in August.....Will their characters be written out completely OR will they bring in other actresses to take their place......????

DIXIE and ZACK returning....for good OR will they leave AGAIN ??????

Tomorrow Erica starts a new book and that is how Erica will trip Jane up. She will record things wrong and Jane will use the info and that will make her family/friends realize something is wrong. If I were her when she does get back I would be so po'd with all that I would really let them have it for not knowing the difference.
