Collateral Damage. Wednesday, May 11 2011

David drops a bomb, Erica makes contact, and Caleb has a breakthrough.

Ryan stops in at Fusion to check on Madison. He doesn’t want her to be stressed over what's going on with him and Greenlee. She's not, pointing out it's their drama and she has Scott. Ryan just wants her to be happy. She says she is and she's glad they are all finally being honest with each other. She thinks Greenlee was just trying to protect what she and Ryan had. She goes on to talk about how important Scott is to her and how their relationship is the closest thing to a real partnership she's had.

David approaches Greenlee at the hospital to sign for some things from the free clinic. He notes she's upset and offers to listen. As Greenlee lashes out at him, Scott enters and orders David to back off. After some words, David leaves, but stops to eavesdrop and learns about Greenlee and Scott's deal.

Back at home, Emma is nice to Greenlee after hearing her and Ryan fight. Emma leaves the room and Greenlee pleads with Ryan to try and make things work. He says okay, but he later can't handle pretending everything is back to normal and leaves.

Bianca finds a caustic Jack at Krystal's. He tells his niece Erica might be the center of her own universe, but she's moving out of his. He storms out past Krystal, who badmouths Erica to Bianca. Bianca defends her mother thinking Erica has a good reason to stay away. Krystal isn't convinced. Bianca continues to stand up for her mother, as Krystal calls Jack to make sure he's alright. When she calls his phone, they realize it's sitting on the bar. Krystal says she'll take it to him. Bianca thinks she's done enough and declares she will handle it.

Asher shows Caleb the website he designed for Cortlandt in the park. Caleb is impressed and appreciates the effort. Asher tells Caleb he wrote bios for both Caleb and Erica on the site and leaves for a previous engagement. Caleb looks at Erica's bio, as Jack happens upon him. Jack thinks he's mooning over Erica, but Caleb insists he has accepted Erica's decision not to be with him. He then suggests Jack stop banging his head against the wall where Erica is concerned. Jack in turn suggests Caleb go back to the mountain. Caleb thinks under different circumstances they would go out for a beer together.

Once Bianca has left Krystal's, David stops in. Krystal notes his good mood, which means he is up to something. He doesn't find what he's looking for so he leaves. Caleb enters and tells Krystal about his interaction with Jack. They both accuse the other of using the situation to their advantage with Jack and Erica.

Caleb and Asher meet up back in the park. They discuss Erica and Caleb says he used to think fate brought Erica to his mountain, which brought him to Pine Valley. Now he thinks Erica didn’t have anything to do with it at all.

Krystal finds Jack back at his and Erica's place. He wonders aloud why he keeps waiting for a woman who doesn't want to be with him. She wishes there was something she could do to make things easier. Jack pulls her in for a kiss.

David finds Madison at ConFusion and 'innocently' lets it slip that Scott and Greenlee were in cahoots. Madison pretends that she knew, but runs out. Liza walks past her and wonders if a smug looking David had anything to do with that. He tells her a gift fell into his lap and he couldn't ignore it. David says Madison is just collateral damage because the real target is Ryan and Greenlee's marriage. He sees Ryan and Scott both enter and walks over to them. He says he might have just made a big mistake.

Reeling, Madison goes to the park. Greenlee finds her and asks what her problem is now. Madison spits out, "You."

In her room, Erica tells her captor being isolated has forced her to reflect on her life, as she eyes her phone in the book. She brings her book to the closet and secretly charges it.

Bianca hangs out with Spike at Fusion and gives him Jack's phone. When Bianca walks away, Erica calls the phone. She urges Spike to put someone on the line, as the voice realizes Erica is up to something and heads to her room.
