Everyone is stressed and scared - and taking it out on each other! Danielle comes through surgery. Zarf makes a run for it!
In the hospital waiting area, Derek demands to know what drug is in the vials - Zarf replies by shouting and grabbing for the bag, "They're mine, you have no right to them you bastard!" Ryan begins to grill Zarf as well, wanting to know how he put the poison into Erin's drink, and did he watch her die? Zarf has no comment. Ryan leaves. Babe begs Zarf to tell the truth about what is in the vials. Derek interjects that Zarf can say what he likes 'downtown'. As Dr.Joe comes out to update the group on Dani, Zarf causes a commotion with nearby stretchers and makes a run for it!
In JR's room at the Chandler mansion, Dixie tells JR that even though the living situation has not been too bad there, she is ready to find a place of her own. He fishes for information by asking if she has any problems with anyone in the house - like Krystal. He tells Dixie that Colby told him Krystal and Tad have a secret and that Dixie knows it. She doesn't say anything, and JR becomes more intense - "Is it true? What is this secret?"
Outside the hospital, Derek is putting out an APB on the escaped Zarf. Inside, Zach tells everyone that the suspect has gotten away. Kendall immediately turns on Babe, blaming her for suggesting Zarf's song for the campaign. Zach verbally attacks one of Kendall's guards who had stepped away to the vending machine. Zach tells everyone he will arrange for safe food and beverages for them all until Zarf is caught. Babe warns that it isn't Zarf that is the killer. Bianca says she can't believe Babe is still defending him. Zach tells Kendall that a picture of his mother was found in Zarf's London home.
Jonathon knocks on Annie's door. He has an armload of firewood for her. She offers him coffee, but he refuses, saying he's on a mission. She notices he has an enormous amount of wood. He tells her that he took an axe to the woods around Wildwind. "Are you alright?", she asks. Jonathon comes inside and admits to Annie that since Erin died he's been experiencing fits of rage and that it is scary. "Because it reminds you of how you were when you had the tumor?", she asks. He says no, the rage was there before the tumor and the delusions.
Outside the hospital, Ryan is now attacking Derek: "I told my brother you'd take care of this, now what?" he shouts. "How many daughters, sisters and wives have to die before you put this guy behind bars?" Inside, Zach says he'll allow Kendall to stay at the hospital while he goes to search for Zarf, as long as she stays with the guards at all times. She promises. Bianca, meanwhile is telling Babe that Zarf is a manipulator - in fact, she tells everyone listening, he dressed up as a woman to try and get me into bed! Josh says it's true - Zarf even admitted it was a scam. "You're wrong," says Babe. Kendall once again goes on the attack against Babe; Josh tells her to back off.
At the Chandler mansion, Dixie continues to sidestep JR's questions, but JR is having none of it - "Did Colby lie?" he presses, "No more secrets, Mom." Dixie tells him to please forget about it. JR is angry that once again, his mother is keeping him in the dark.
Back in the hospital, Kendall & Josh are arguing about his defence of Babe and her opinion. Kendall goes over the mounting evidence against Zarf. Babe asks to speak to Bianca alone. Josh asks Kendall when she's going to stop attacking Babe and start helping him get JR away from her. Kendall balks, saying she can't believe Josh would still be interested in Babe. Meanwhile, Babe and Bianca have stepped aside to speak alone. Bianca says that Zarf created a fictional character and can't be trusted. Zoey is real, Babe insists. "You bought this act, really?" asks Bianca. "Zoey is in alot of pain, can't you see?" counters Babe. Bianca tells Babe she often puts faith in people like JR and Zarf who don't necessarily deserve it. "I believed you when you told me you were a lesbian." Babe tells her.
In the waiting room, Josh is now asking Kendall if their deal is off. I guess helping me get Babe goes against your better judgement - he asks Kendall. She agrees it does. Well then, he counters, keeping the secret of Emma's paternity from Ryan must be eating you alive! She asks if he's threatening her, but Josh doesn't answer - he's already calling Ryan over so they can tell him! A clueless Ryan joins them, and assumes their squabble is over Kendall's security. He informs them he will be upping the number of guards with officers from Cambias. Kendall thanks Ryan and he leaves. Josh and Kendall re-cement their 'deal'!
In another part of the hospital, Bianca is sneering that Zarf has Babe 'snowed'. Babe says Zoey is real, and when she got the courage to come out, look how you reacted! She is hurt and humiliated! HE admitted it was an act! Bianca insists. Babe tells her of all people, Bianca is the one she thought would be most open-minded. Bianca says she is - but it is far-fetched that Zoey claims to be a transgender lesbian. She was born that way, just as you were born a lesbian, says Babe, shaking her head and walking away. "Somebody call me about Dani's condition - I'm going home to my husband." Josh wants to take her but she declines - she has her guard, she'll be safe.
Dixie makes up JR's bed as he badgers her. "I can take whatever the secret is, but not anymore lies." he tells her. She says she is sorry that so many people have hurt him, but Colby is wrong, there is no secret. "Please don't think about it anymore." she begs. JR thinks to himself, "My mother - the world's worst liar..."
Tad insists that Derek go in with Dani and let the rest of the police force find Zarf. Derek feels he needs to catch him in order to do right by Dani for all the times he failed her in the past. Derek says he feels helpless - Tad says he knows the feeling well. Tad tells Derek he will do anything to help him. They embrace and re-new their friendship.
Zach stands in his dark office and makes a mysterious phone call. He tells the person on the other end of the line to "apprehend the little rock star, Zarf, and bring him here..."
Babe has entered JR's room now and goes to his wheelchair, kneeling, she asks him to please hold her. "What happened," he asks. "Another horrible day," she sighs. She proceeds to tell him all about the attack on Dani and the horror of finding her lying on the floor. JR asks if Dani will be alright. Babe tells him she doesn't know, but Dani's in surgery right now. "Do you want to go back?" JR asks. Babe tells him 'no', she just wants to be here, with him, feeling his arms. He unexpectedly reaches out and touches her hair and face gently. She smiles, rises, and says she's going to kiss their son goodnight, and will be back soon.
At Annie's Jonathan is explaining that he never understood what Lily meant by seeing colors when she was angry until now - now he is seeing colors when he is in a rage. Annie assures him he's allowed to feel angry. She asks him some concerned questions - he tells her that talking to her helps. Just then, Ryan enters - Jonathan sees his face and asks "are you ok?" Ryan covers quickly, "I'm great," he says, "I just miss Spike is all." Ryan asks what's with all the wood. Jonathan tells him he "went crazy" in the woods. When Ryan asks if he's OK, Jon says he's fine and he's going to get back to Wildwind now. Once Jonathan has left, Annie asks Ryan what it is that he didn't want his brother to know. He fills her in about the attack on Dani, and that the suspect, Zarf, has fled. Sooner or later Jonathan will hear about it, Ryan muses. Yes, says Annie, but you knew he wasn't ready right now - it was a good thing you did. They embrace warmly.
Dr. Joe tells Derek at the hospital that Dani has made it through the surgery, but the next 24 hours are critical. Livia arrives and Derek tells her that Dani may not make it. "She has to!" Livia says, embracing Derek. "I will stay here, I will not leave her side while you go catch that bastard!" she tells Derek. He leaves and she sits at Dani's bedside. Livia tells Dani she's the daughter she never had, and that they'll be best girlfriends if she'll just come back to her Aunt and her Dad.
At the hospital, Josh comforts a tired and confused Bianca by holding her.
Babe steps outside the Chandler mansion and sits on a bench, suddenly she hears a sound - someone is behind her! She realizes it's Zarf/Zoey begging her in a frantic whisper for help.
Inside the mansion, Kendall has arrived to visit a surprised JR.
In his office, Zach waits anxiously. There is a knock at the door and an envelope is delivered to him. He closes the door and opens the envelope to reveal a copy of the Fusion advertisement with all the girls crossed out in bold black marker, except Babe and Kendall!
