Liza strikes out with Colby, Kendall confronts David and Annie finds JR with Marissa.
Damon helps Liza work on her case against Erica at her place, but suggests she take a break. She can't and then bemoans the fact that she spent the holidays alone because she has no friends or family anymore. She still hasn't seen Colby to give her a Christmas present. Damon suggests she come with him to meet Colby for lunch.
Colby and Asher bump into each other at the mansion and share a charged moment, but Damon's call to confirm lunch interrupts them.
Colby walks into Krystal's and finds Damon with Liza. Colby lashes out at her mother, but Liza wants to repair things between them. Damon comes to Liza's defense when Colby accuses her of making Damon run around for her. Damon assures her he loves his job but Colby is still leery of her mother. Liza apologizes for the mistakes she's made, but Colby won't let her take Damon away like she did Adam.
Annie finds JR at the mansion and suggests they spend some alone time together. He would love to, but he has back to back meetings. He leaves and Annie jumps on his laptop, which Marissa catches her doing. Marissa thought she was sick and reminds her his immune system is at risk so she shouldn't be around him. Annie yells that she isn't sick anymore and that she would never put JR's health in jeopardy. Marissa wonders where JR is and Annie tells her he's at a meeting and doesn't want to be bothered so she should leave him the Hell alone. Marissa leaves and Asher walks in. Annie tries to get JR's laptop password out of him, but Asher doesn’t bite. He does however inform her that he knows what's happening between her and JR. Annie is shocked, but Asher assures her he won't say anything. She doesn't like his attitude and declares she will be back in the master suite soon enough so he better watch his tone with her. Colby storms in the room and Annie leaves. Asher assumes lunch didn't go well and offers to help. She tells him what happened and how she feels like Liza is trying to tell her Adam doesn’t love her. Asher hugs her wondering how Adam could not love her.
Marissa finds JR at ConFusion and expresses her concern for his health. JR admits that after the call last night, he's been looking online to find out what his symptoms mean. She urges him to get checked out now and offers to go to the doctor's with him.
At the hospital, Marissa tells JR she understands him better now. Ever since he beat cancer he has been grabbing at anything to make him feel alive. He knows he shouldn’t have grabbed some of those things. She lets him know there are a lot of people in his corner, as the doctor returns with JR's test results, which indicate he is still in remission. JR thanks Marissa for making him face things and hugs her, as Annie walks by and sees them.
Annie finds JR at Krystal's and yells at him for being at the hospital with Marissa.
Kendall wakes up screaming in her hospital bed, thinking she sees David. It turns out to be Griffin, who encourages her to get some rest so she can get better, as Ricky walks in. She tells him about seeing David and feeling like he was saying something to her. Griffin leaves and Ricky tells Kendall her thoughts about David are holding her back, especially from getting out of the hospital. He knows she can beat this and wants her to think about getting back to her life and invites her to the church Super Bowl party. Griffin returns with a wheelchair to take Kendall somewhere.
Griffin wheels Kendall to David's room to prove to her that David is still in a coma. Kendall cries as she sees a lifeless David. She doesn't know why she can't let this go. He encourages her to do what she has to in order to feel better. Kendall lashes out at David and tells him she is done being his victim. She wants it to be over, but it's not because she can't figure out why David is still in her head.
At Wildwind, Erica tells Caleb their kiss was due to the circumstances and suggests they not work so closely together, so she doesn't make him uncomfortable. He assures her he's not uncomfortable and that he understands she is still marrying Jack. Bianca walks in and after Caleb leaves, she asks her mother if anything is going on between her and Caleb. Erica responds that they are business partners and he saved her life, so that's the extent of it. Bianca says Caleb denied anything going on between them too, but she knows he cares about her - a lot.
Damon and Liza return to her place where she assures him she's fine and that she will survive. Damon wants to help, but she tells him it's a lost cause. Damon relents and leaves, as Caleb walks in. He offers Liza a deal regarding Erica, but Liza passes.
Still at the mansion, Asher tells Colby she is the most amazing person he has ever met and kisses her as Damon walks in.
