Zach leaves to help Greenlee and Ryan, Opal and Asher bond and Erica helps Caleb.
Greenlee and Ryan canoodle and express their love for each other in the shack. She realizes she will be a liability due to her ankle and tells him to go look for Nick on his own. He doesn’t want to leave her, but after he kisses her, he reluctantly does. Greenlee stays behind and thinks about her and Ryan's past.
Ryan meets with the security guard at the hotel and learns Nick has left, but Ryan wants to get in his room anyway. Ryan finds a magazine with a page torn out of it in the trash and concludes Nick is the outdoorsy type.
Ryan returns to Greenlee in the shack and tells her he thinks Nick is on an island. They prepare to leave but hear sirens. They panic and then the door opens.
In the mansion, Asher tells Colby she's making too big a big deal about the kiss and she needs to move on. He leaves and passes an incoming Damon on the way out. Damon tells Colby he wants to help Asher take his mind off things, but Colby acts blaze. Damon wonders why the change in attitude about him and she tearfully tells him Asher kissed her. Damon is enraged and Colby tries to explain the circumstances surrounding it. He wants to confront Asher and Colby asks him not to make her regret telling him. She continues to try to explain things and assures him she loves him. She doesn’t trust Asher, but she trusts him. She wonders if he can help her forget and he kisses her.
Damon and Colby go upstairs and have sex. Afterwards, she tells him she wanted to show him how much he means to her so he wouldn't doubt anything. He says, "No doubts here," but his demeanor conveys otherwise.
Asher bumps into Opal at Krystal's. She wants to bond as family, but he just wants to get out of there. She knows he's had a rough time of it, but she assures him the grass isn't greener and whether he knows it or not, he's been blessed with a fine lot in life. Asher sits down with Opal and listens to her talk about Palmer. She lets him know that Palmer would not approve of him and JR going after his own father.
Erica sees the footage of Asher confronting Caleb on TV at Kendall and Zach's place. She's furious and then gets a call from Caleb, who sees the same footage at ConFusion. He says they have to talk. Once Erica is gone, Zach gives Kendall the sand dollar he gave her in the Bahamas. They reminisce some more and Zach tells her they will go back to the secluded beach some day. She doesn’t need to because she has her paradise right there. They notice they have a message on their phone and listen to Ryan's message. Kendall wants to help, but Zach insists they are fine. Kendall begs Zach to help and he agrees, but only for her. Zach prepares to leave and says goodbye to his boys. He knows she put something in his bag, but she doesn't want him to read it until he gets to his destination. They express their love for each other and she knows what it means that he's doing this for her. She feels silly for tearing up noting she'll see him in a couple of days. He says he'll see her soon and they kiss goodbye. After Zach has left, Kendall gets a call but the person hangs up when she answers.
At ConFusion, Caleb tells Erica he doesn't care how this affects him, he's just worried about Asher. Erica thinks he needs to worry about the company. She tells him to deal with his son and she will handle the rest. She gets a call from the SEC who are looking for Caleb. He talks with them and learns they will not turn the company over to an alleged murderer. She suggests they go to Washington to clear this up and she tries to help prepare him for the SEC's questions. Caleb gets uncomfortable when the subject turns to Asher and Erica implores him to tell Asher the truth and to make him not hate him. Erica says she will go to Washington so he can handle Asher.
Opal takes Asher to Wildwind to look at Palmer's portrait. She wants him to really look at it because it's a reminder who his great uncle was and who he could be. She thinks he's holding on to a lot of anger and suggests things might not be as black and white as they seem. She speculates that Palmer never would have pushed him and Caleb together if Caleb really killed his mother. She urges him to spend some time with 'him' because deep down he really wants to listen. After Opal leaves, Asher pulls out the letter from Palmer and reads it again as Caleb returns home.
