Richie Novak came to Pine Valley in 2007 as Wes, who worked as a bartender for Krystal at The Comeback. He was eventually revealed to be Annie's bad news brother, who was just released from prison.
During his reign of terror, Richie left Zach to die after a hit and run, locked Zach and Greenlee in a bomb shelter, kidnapped J.R. for his bone marrow, set up J.R. with a prostitute, blackmailed Annie, kidnapped Babe and even spent some time in the psych ward with Janet. Unsurprisingly, someone cut Richie's time in Pine Valley short in 2008 by killing him.
