AMC Wins Technical Directing Emmy Award

    Friday, June 15 2007

    (Soaps.com)
Congratulations to the cast and crew of All My Children!! The show won the Daytime Emmy award for Outstanding Achievement In Technical Direction/Electronic Camera/Video Control For A Drama Series!

Crew members Howie Zweig, Technical Director, Michael V. Pomarico, Technical Director, Adam Keith, Electronic Camera, Tom Shepard, Electronic Camera, Eric Johnson, Electronic Camera, Robert Ambrico, Electronic Camera, Mary Mcilwain, Electronic Camera, George Montanez, Electronic Camera, Frank Forsyth, Electronic Camera, William Tynan, Electronic Camera, Richard Westlein, Electronic Camera, Virginia Higgins, Video Control were noted for their contributions to AMC

Of the four overall Daytime Emmy nominations, this is the only win for the show.

AMC was also nominated for Outstanding Achievement In Hairstyling For A Drama Series (the award was won by ATWT) and Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design for a Drama Series (OLTL won the award).

In addition to these overall show nominations, Pine Valley's Leven Rambin, Lily Montgomery, was nominated for Outstanding Younger Actress In A Drama Series. Lily suffers from Autism Spectrum Disorder. 2006 was a tough year for her. She was hospitalized for stress after an attempted rape by Annie McDermott's ex-husband; she also became estranged from her husband, Jonathan Lavery. ATWT's Jennifer Landon, Gwen, took home the Emmy.

AMC may not have been nominated for many awards this year, but the cast still made an impact. Several were on hand to present awards including Thorsten Kaye, Zach, Cameron Mathison, Ryan, Jeff Branson, Jonathan, Leven Rambin, Lily and Eva LaRue, ex-Maria.

2007 may not have brought a lot of Emmy nominations, but with new writers on hand, fans and actors alike are looking forward to a brand new season - and hopefully many more Daytime Emmy nominations and wins! - in Pine Valley.

Yea. I so hope that next year AMC can get more acting nominations.
