    Is BAM dead?

    Thursday, December 21 2006

    Bianca's lover Maggie (Elizabeth
Hendrickson) is returning to Pine Valley. (ABC)
"BAM" is the fan-created acronym for Bianca and Maggie who made AMC history with their lesbian kiss and subsequent love affair. It appears that BAM was too hot not to cool down, and beginning in mid-January, Elizabeth Hendrickson [Maggie Stone] will be temporarily returning to Pine Valley. It's reported that she'll be on the show for about three weeks.

As you know, Bianca returned home from France after discovering that her lover was cheating on her with a Parisienne named Cecilia. Whether Maggie is coming to ask for reconciliation or to end her relationship with Bianca has yet to be determined. And what will Maggie make of the unique relationship between Bianca and Zarf? We'll know in a couple of weeks.

I once loved this show. Now, I can't bare to watch it because of the storylines. I never liked Bianca being gay. I certainly wiil not like a transsexual on this show. Don't the writers see the rating dropping constantly? It is because of the storylines. I am not against gays but please give us a break. I tried watching this show when I was home from work due to a viral illness, but I just can't watch anymore. It is not believable. I can assure you that the rating will continue to drop. I hope that they become so low that this show is finally cancelled.

I can't wait for Maggie to return. I only hope that she gets back with Bianca and decides to stay in Pine Vally. Elizabeth is a great actress, I've missed her and hope she stays.

I agree with you, Lindylou, I am 70 and have watched this show since the beginning and this soap needs more matured writers. These storylines of this child belonging to that other person, married couples sleeping with others, someone trying to break up a marriage, young and old chacters jumping from one bed into another and please if there was a person like Josh in my family, I'd tell him to get a life and leave JR and Babe alone. I would loved to have seen at least one young couple make it like Joe and Ruth Martin. I am at the point of not even turning my TV on during the day (the shows at primetime aren't much better).

I understand that Maggie is returning to end the relationship. I would like to find out that Maggie now plans to marry a man-as Ellen Degeneres' ex did. If the storyline continues with a transsexual, it will no longer be next to last in ratings, but dead last next to Another World. Back in the day when Phoebe Tyler gave Pine Valley class (with Daughters of Fine Lineage, etc) it has deteriorated to the current - another whodunit that involves Zack, an actor with talent that is being underemployed due to a deficiency in the script. Let JR and Babe get back together and let Josh discover another love or leave town. I have always admired Erica, but the story needs a new lead and lead family, like the Martins in the past as LindyLou suggested. Please do the right thing and let the Chandler baby be Adam's. And finally, the 30 year acting career of Brook English should have had an eventful conclusion or acknowledgment.
