    Puppy love... literally. (TOLN/Hulu)
    "AMC" Rundown for August 26:

With the Season One finale just a week away, it was great to see a few couples finally move forward with their relationship, while it became clear there were a few storylines that will not even be close to resolution before we say goodbye to Pine Valley for now.

    Lucy and Ethel.
Colby and Opal were totally cute during their caper, trading catty digs while helping zip each other into their skintight date sabotage gear. One question – how did they get the skunk in the box to begin with? Can you really buy them like that? Overall, Celia getting sprayed during her romantic date was pretty harmless, and the sight of Colby and Opal running off in their high heels and designer duds was hilarious. They probably didn't anticipate the maneuver would get Celia into Pete's shower, so he really only has them to thank.

    That’s amore.
So the most romantic movie scene to Celia is from "Lady and the Tramp," which only hammers home again how totally innocent she is. That's why it is going to be such a shock to find out whatever horrific thing happened to her as a child.

    About time.
Celia and Pete weren’t the only ones finally moving forward. Zach and Lea locked lips again and admitted their feelings, but it’s almost too little too late for this couple. There hasn’t been sizzle for a while, and Zach has been really off toward her because of the whole Jesse thing. There just doesn't seem to be any staying power here.

AJ and Heather were hot and heavy too, but it was a little awkward and aggressive. Thank goodness Miranda broke that couch clutch up.

    Revenge.
Anyone on the wrong side of Jesse just better watch out. Without a badge to keep his honor in check and a stack of paperwork to keep him busy, Jesse is singularly focused on getting revenge on Uri. But the fact he can’t get that revenge only means a lot of people are going to be walking on eggshells around Jesse until he can get his temper in check. Especially David and his fascination with Angie, which he just can’t help himself from using to rile Jesse up. The Angie and David relationship is one of the more dynamic in the show’s history, thanks to their mutual respect for each others' skills as a doctor, and their loyalty to each other. Romance would mess it up – not to mention do damage to one of the genre's supercouples.

Colby looked to be getting the JR back that she needed to oust Brooke from the family. But David can do much worse than sabotage a sizzle reel and JR should just drop it. Their little faceoff in the square had David throwing sharp barbs while JR could only stand there, gathering more ammo for his blame game.

    Backpedaling.
AJ seemed sincere with Cara, and that's why she needs to watch out. The fact he paid her bill plus Dixie's unwavering support was enough to make her guard waver. Watching David with Oliver did the same. Can't really think of a more dangerous pair for Cara to be emotionally involved with Yikes.

    Delicious cupcakes and hockey.
Last week Miranda and Zach seemed to be creepy close, but this week that seemed to ease a bit despite their decision to become roommates. Zach is a little lost so hopefully playing dad will help give him some focus since returning to his casino seems to not be happening.

    Playing therapist.
Dixie’s dance card is really filling up with therapist duties, from Dr. Ander’s and his mystery cell phone woman to Celia and her mystery scary vision man, her services are in high demand.
