As we at Soaps.com eagerly anticipate the return of our favorite residents of Pine Valley when AMC returns on April 29, we can’t help but wonder what life will be like five years down the road for all of our favorites. And while there are so many things we look forward to seeing – like only everything! – we narrowed it down to the top ten reasons we can’t wait to tune in. What about you? Vote in our poll and let us know in the comments what you can’t wait to see when the show returns.
10. Who did JR shoot?
Naturally, the biggest question that needs to be answered is who took the bullet an enraged JR (Jacob Young) shot into that standing-room only crowd at the Chandler mansion? The show only ended with such a cliffhanger because of the impending migration online. After two years, we’re ready to be rewarded with something stellar.
9. Project Orpheus.
David Hayward (Vincent Irizarry) was bringing back dead people left and right, and it was alluded Babe (Amanda Baker) might still be in the mix. After all this time we are more than ready for the reveal of another returned soul. We are also kind of curious as to how Griffin (Jordi Vilasuso), Zach (Thorsten Kaye), Kendall (Alicia Minshew), Greenlee (Rebecca Budig) and Ryan (Cameron Mathison) fared in getting to the bottom of the whole thing, something they vowed to do.
8. SORASed kiddos.
All the little ones who were running around two years ago are surely all hot young adults now, and we can’t wait to see what little AJ (Eric Nelson), Spike, Ian, Miranda (Denyse Tontz), Jenny, Emma and the rest look like - if they make the cut - and more importantly, who they are sleeping with!
7. Couple connections.
We’re dying to know who has made it, who hasn’t, and what crazy couples have been concocted that we never thought we’d see. Are Scott (Daniel Cosgrove) and Madison (Stephanie Gatschet) together? Will they even be mentioned? What about Brooke (Julia Barr) and Adam’s (David Canary) happily ever after, or how Marian (Jennifer Bassey) and Stuart (Canary) are faring after his return from the dead? Really, the same holds true for all of them – Zach and Kendall and Ryan and Greenlee included.
6. David and Cara’s baby.
When we last saw David and Cara (Lindsay Hartley), he was overjoyed to hear she was pregnant with his baby. He proposed they stay together, raise the child and start their own private medical practice. Sounds pretty idyllic for the evil doctor, so we can’t wait to see how this really turned out.
5. Erica, Jackson and the big opportunity.
The way this super couple was left hanging was hard for any fan to stomach. Erica (Susan Lucci) was offered another career opportunity she couldn’t refuse, even if it meant putting her wedding to Jack (Walt Willey) on hold. And after 20 years, he finally wasn’t having it and walked out the door. As Ms. Kane followed him to keep him from walking out of her life, JR’s shot rang out. End scene. Explanation please!
While Christina Bennett Lind did a fine job as Erica’s daughter, it’s Eden we think of as the strong, passionate woman who came out to Erica Kane. We can’t wait to see if she and Marissa (Sarah Glendening) are still together, considering it was their relationship that drove JR absolutely crazy, and how she will handle what will probably be some feisty teenage girls of her own.
3. How about the Hubbard’s?
Everyone’s favorite family had lived through some major ups and downs the last time we saw them, and nothing will feel more like we are back in Pine Valley than to see Jesse (Darnell Williams) and Angie (Debbi Morgan) together again, along with Frankie (Cornelius Smith Jr.), Randi (Denise Vasi), Natalia (Shannon Wright) and Brot (JR Martinez) – if they are all coming back. An update on Maya (Mariah Buzolin) and baby Lucy would be appreciated too.
2. The sets.
While we hope Pine Valley is still recognizable despite all the new sets, although we can;t wait to see the revamped locations and find out what the new hot spots in town are. If ConFusion makes the cut, here’s hoping it is as modern as watching the show online is.
1. Tad? Erica?
We know some big name stars are not joining the reboot, at least not yet, so we are hoping for some satisfying explanations about why they aren’t in Pine Valley. They’ve had plenty of time to make this good.
