J.R. Martinez conquered the ballroom on Dancing with the Stars and now he's setting his sights on the New York City Marathon. It's not just for personal and athletic growth, but to help raise money for the New York Road Runners' youth program.
The New York Road Runners creates and supports free fitness and character building programs for children in underserved communities in the U.S. and South Africa. Timex will donate money to the organization for every runner Martinez passes, which is why he is starting the race dead last.
Martinez went on CNN's "Starting Point with Soledad O'Brien" to discuss his upcoming endeavor. Take a look.
