    A couple of former All My Children stars are making headlines for non-acting reasons and Soaps.com has the scoop.

    First, the wedding news.

    Soaps.com has learned that Eva LaRue (ex-Maria) will marry boyfriend Joe Cappuccio! Eva and Joe became engaged at Africa's Victoria Falls! They had been on a safari when Joe popped the question. How sweet! The two are planning to marry during the 2009 hiatus from Eva's primetime show "CSI: Miami". Joe is the owner of Del Mar Seafoods.

    Since leaving Pine Valley, Eva's biggest role has been that of Natalia Boa Vista on "CSI: Miami", but she is slated to star in the upcoming movie "Lakeview Terrace", a drama/thriller also starring Samuel L. Jackson!

    Next, the baby news!


    Soaps.com has learned that Laura Allen (ex-Laura English) has had a baby! Laura and husband Bruce Weyman, a model, welcomed baby son Harper Edward on September 3, 2008! Baby Harper weighed in at 9 pounds 5 ounces; he was born in Los Angeles. According to Laura's representative, "Mother, father and baby are doing well." Harper is their first child.

    Laura left Pine Valley behind in 2002. Since then she as appeared in several movies including the Julia Roberts flick "Mona Lisa Smile" and "A Tale of Two". She has also appeared in prime time dramas such as "Criminal Minds" and "Dirt". She is currently working on two films set for release in 2009, "Hysteria" and "Old Dogs", which will reunite her with AMC alum Alexa Havins.
