How stupid is this Frons guy to think that daytime television would be better with garbage like "the chew". Soaps have been the foundation of daytime television for as long as I can remember. I knew who Erica Kane was before I started school. I've been watching All My Children since my aunt turned it on when I was still in a playpen. This is not only sad, but also a slap in the face to all the loyal soap fans. I have always been an ABC watcher, but after September I'm gone. Having said that......thank you and good luck to all the actors and actresses (past and present). You have mad us laugh, cry, and even get mad over the years and you will be greatly missed. Thank you.

I am pissed to be honest.. I mean really are you kidding me. I have watched these soaps with my mother since I was a child and I am only 28years old so it’s not like young people don’t watch them either.. Let alone replace them with food and health channels. It’s all bull and you know it. I will never watch the ABC channel and day in my life again. I go to work every day and look forward to going home and watching All My Children and One Life to Live and now you took that all away from me. I have a lot more to say but it’s best not to post it.. Everyone should go on a strike and never watch this channel again. I know a ton of people here at my work watch both soaps and we talk about them almost everyday so its not like they didnt get enough viewers.. EEEEERRRHHHHHH

My heart is still heavy after hearing the news yesterday about All My Children. I've watched that show since I was born and feel like the actors are part of my family. Save AMC!!! A half hour time slot or less shows a week would work. Do we really need The Chew? Are they kidding? At least give Tad (Michael Knight) and Susan Lucci a talk show. Tad would be a great replacement for Regis. But no Pine Valley? Come on ABC!!!

I have watched AMC since it premiered in 1970, while pregnant with my first child. Even when I returned to work, I religiously videotaped it and watched it before I even made dinner. I have never missed an episode. I ABSOLUTELY DETEST THESE RIDICULOUS TALK SHOWS ABOUT FOOD, PSYCHIATRIC PROBLEMS, ETC.!!! Why do these idiots think they will be more viewers with those obscene shows?! I DO THINK THAT A TV MOVIE SHOULD BE MADE TO OBTAIN CLOSURE FOR BOTH SHOWS...SO THEY CAN WRAP UP THE STORYLINES AND NOT LEAVE US HANGING.

I cant believe they cancelled ALL My Children I have watched that soap for 40 yrs, They say viewers wanted new shows I would like to meet them, They say that are going to put in their place and a talk show and food show well I guess I will be doing something else with my day at those times I think there is enough of that on the air now we do not need any more. I'm just devastated I feel so sorry for all the actors they pack up and leave their home in New York to go to the West coast and for what just so they can say they are all out jobs I will watch till the end show then I'm done dont I do not wish you luck with your new shows hope they flop.

Well, I won't be watching the two replacement shows. We already have way too many of those type of shows. I really don't think that people want more of them. I love All My Children and will not be watching any other soaps.

I believe there is still room for soaps on TV. Perhaps they need to be more realistic but still room for it.
All of us soap fans will miss these shows. Too bad.

I am very disappointed to hear this news. I have been watching ALL MY CHILDREN since it first aired in 1970. This just makes me sick. Like other fans have said....there is no way I will be watching the two new shows that are taking it's place. Sounds boring to me.
I think ABC'S rating are going to drop drastically.
This is just unbelieveable. Just so sad and even more mad.

What a STUPID and ridiculous decision...What is ABC thinking other than stupidity..Why would you take off a Great Afternoon show that has been on for 40 years with faithful viewers to put on boring shows that we already have too many now...Well I will not be watching any ABC shows anymore and will go to another station or cable that cares about there viewers!!
