Reese Tells Off Ryan!

A while later Petey and Colby meet near the accident site; Petey has a shovel and they go outside. He says he is ready to help her bury David! Colby is distracted but finally realizes what Petey is saying. She says she asked him to meet her here so they could search for Adam. They look around but don't find any clues. JR calls and says they found Adam but he won't tell Colby where he is. He hangs up. Colby can't believe they are shutting her out!

Ian Gets Surgery!

At the Chandler mansion Tad arrives to find JR and Colby in a state – because Adam is missing! JR says they don't know what is wrong with Adam and Colby worries that they'll be too late to save him. JR tells Tad everything and Tad can't believe the doctors never figured out what was wrong. Barry arrives to see JR but JR blows him off. Barry presses him, saying that the company is about to go under! He pushes JR not to wait until Adam returns to make a move. JR says he'll be there in 24 hours. Then he asks Tad to help them. Tad agrees. Colby wants to go, too, but JR convinces her to stay home.

In Philadelphia JR and Tad find a man who saw Adam at the hospital. He says Adam has been acting very strange and drawing the same picture – of Erica! – every day! Colby calls and says someone just stole Adam's car.

Tad and JR return to the manse but Colby can't give them any more information about the car theft. JR wonders what is going on with Adam and then two security guards arrive to report that the car has been found, wrecked and abandoned, down the road!

Ian's Heart Is Failing!

At the Chandler mansion Petey tells Colby about David hitting Krystal. Colby can't believe that Krystal is staying with David after that; neither can Petey, who wonders why women in general stick with bad men. She says she will never do something like that and can't imagine why Krystal would stay with David. Both start talking about their fathers. Petey has only heard from Palmer a couple of times but Colby says she hasn't heard anything from Adam and starts to worry. Colby wonders if she can help them against David and asks Petey for advice. He doesn't have any ideas but promises to alibi her or bail her out of jail if she comes up with something.

Prepared To Fight?

Tad and Colby are trying to keep JR calm at the mansion. He is very worried about the custody hearing. Erica stops in to tell them what she did to David. Tad is relieved and tells JR that he'll also testify against Krystal. He leaves. Erica tells JR that she just talked to Adam and he is pulling for them, too! She promises that Adam is doing well. JR is relieved. Colby asks Erica if she is in love with Adam; Erica says they are great friends with a special place in her heart. "You kids are his life," she says and then admits she does love Adam in a way. Colby hopes there is a future for Erica and Adam.

At the courthouse Tad and Jesse talk about the custody case. They are both worried that David still might win. Krystal, David, JR and Colby arrive. David immediately brings up JR's drinking but JR remains calm. Jesse intercedes and they all go inside. David suggests that they change Little A's name to David once they win! The judge calls the proceedings to order. JR is the first to speak. He lays his drinking out on the table, telling the judge that he is in AA and is recovering. Then, he says he wasn't trying to run away with Little A. She brings up Little A's drinking. JR says it was a mistake. Angry David lashes out at JR about his affair with Amanda. This annoys the judge; she tells David to sit down and be quiet. Angie arrives and sits with Jesse as JR promises to raise Little A as Babe would have wanted him to be raised. Krystal is next to speak. She solemnly says that JR is telling the truth! But, she says, that doesn't make JR the right choice for Little A's safety! David is next to speak and angrily points out JR's shortcomings; he even suggests that JR is lying about Babe's dying wish! Frustrated, JR lashes out, telling the judge how much Babe hated David and how she didn't want him anywhere near her child! David lunges at JR but the judge calls him off. Tad asks if he can speak and then tells the judge that Krystal's parental rights have been revoked and that David is a bad influence who is only out for revenge. David can't take it and angrily says he is the only person who can raise Little A well! The judge is ready to rule. She points out that JR does have some issues but then says David and Krystal have issues of their own. She gives temporary custody to the foster family – Jesse and Angie, but no one knows that!

Change Is In The Air!

At the hospital Jake warns David that Krystal needs more observation but David won't listen and insists on checking her out so they can present a united front at the custody hearing. Then he goes to Krystal's room and gives her instructions for the next day. Colby comes in and apologizes for hitting Krystal. Krystal forgives her but then David steps in and says this is another example of why they are fighting for Little A – because he isn't safe at the mansion. Krystal sides with David. He wheels her away. Jake listens in the hall as David tells Krystal they are going to the courthouse. Colby comes to Jake and both wonder what David is planning. Colby leaves. Erica arrives and asks Jake about David and Krystal; Jake reports that both are gone. He tells Erica about the courthouse trip and she wonders what they are up to.

Jesse returns to the police station to tell JR and Colby that JR is free to go. Jesse warns JR to get ready for a big fight. Colby goes to get the car. JR asks where Little A is but Jesse will only say the kiddo is in safe hands. JR thanks him and leaves.

Let's Get It On!

In the interrogation room JR tells Colby that Barry will take care of her. She is worried that she might have hurt the family and wonders what Adam will do; JR tells her about Adam's collapse. Colby flips out and wants to run straight to Adam but JR convinces her to stay away from Adam so that David can't get to him. Jesse comes in and releases Colby, saying that Krystal won't press charges. He can't release JR yet, though. Colby hugs JR and leaves. When they are alone Jesse tells JR that things are looking very bad for him. Frustrated, JR finally tells Jesse about Adam's collapse and then demands his one phone call. Jesse returns to the outer office. Angie arrives and tells him about David's warning. Jesse isn't scared of David but Angie is. She worries about what might happen to Little A – and Jesse says he'll be fine because they are going to be the kiddo's foster family!
