    Birthday: 1947-10-07
    Birthplace: Minnesota
    Marital Status: Single
    Currently playing: Opal Cortlandt

Born and raised in Minnesota, Jill Larson earned a degree in communications from Hunter College. Early in her career, Jill enjoyed stage performances appearing in such productions as Gypsy, Agnes of God and The Glass Menagerie to name just a few. Seeking out television roles, Larson guest starred on Kate & Allie and The Equalizer. Eventually, she landed the long-term role of Ursula Blackwell on One Life to Live. Joining the cast of All My Children in 1989, Jill has brought a combination of reverence and spite to her character Opal Cortlandt.

Larson is a founding member and president of GLM Productions, a theatrical production company. Through that company, Ms. Larson produced the off-Broadway comedy revue, "Serious Bizness," and co-produced the documentary film, "Gibbs Garden" -- a cinematic portrait of a painter stricken with AIDS, which was nominated for a student Academy Award. Ms. Larson later co-curated an exhibit of that painter's work.

A single mom, Jill divides her time between her New York apartment and a home in Pennsylvania.
