The fan faithful can look forward to an emotional - and exciting - summer in Pine Valley. ABC Daytime has announced that two veteran soap writers are taking over the helm of All My Children. Barbara J. Esensten and James Harmon Brown are now onboard!

Esensten and Harmon have written for soaps dramas such as Days of our Lives (January 2007), Dynasty, Guiding Light (from 1994-1997) and One Life To Live (2004-2005)among other shows.
Disney/ ABC's daytime chief, Brian Scott Frons said, "Fans can expect an exciting summer in Pine Valley and can look forward to even more of the romance and intrigue they have come to love and look for on All My Children."
Barbara J. Esensten and James Harmon Brown are Emmy Award winning writers. Both were nominated for Emmy Awards in 2006 (for their writing on OLTL) and 1999 (for their writing on GL); they won the Best Writing Emmy in 1993 for their work on GL. The duo has also been nominated for Writer's Guild of America Awards for their work on soaps.
