It's here! Yesterday was episode one of "AMC" online. Hopefully you had a chance to watch or catch our recaps, but right now here's a peek at what the cast has been up to prior to the reboot and where to find all our "AMC" coverage at Soaps.com.
Red Carpet Premiere. New York City was home to the Red Carpet Premiere of "All My Children" and "One Life To Live." The festivities were well received among the cast and crew. Many actors had a busy itinerary leading up to yesterday's first episode. Vincent Irizarry (Dr. David Hayward) and Thorsten Kaye (Zach Slater) visited "The View," Darnell Williams (Jesse Hubbard) appeared on "Watch What Happens Live," and Julia Barr (Brooke English) was a guest on NBC's Today show.
Debbi Morgan and Darnell Williams dish on AMC. During a recent conference call Debbi Morgan (Dr. Angie Baxter Hubbard) and Darnell Williams (Jesse Hubbard) got personal and shared their thoughts on the premiere of episode one. It was an exciting night for them and both agree they were impressed. Williams is honored to be around as soaps move to another new medium and Morgan is certain television will be replaced by the Internet in a few more years.
How many times did you watch? Soapsonhulu on Twitter asked yesterday, "How many times today have you watched?"
If you watched, you were counted. Rob Wilson (Peter Cortlandt), excited by the relaunch, bragged that "AMC" was number one on Hulu, Hulu Plus, and iTunes. It is apparent fans got what they wanted, the return of two of their beloved soaps.
Kudos to all involved in this project! Social media will continue to buzz with excitement this week.
Soaps.com resumes All My Children recaps: Yesterday was an exciting day in the history of soaps and once again fans can read Soaps.com's All My Children Recaps Monday through Thursday for all new episodes and the weekly "AMC" blog after Thursday's episode.
TOLN is not just for Daytime. TOLN made it clear in the last week that their soaps are not just for Daytime. "AMC" and "OLTL" are available any time after 5:00 AM on Hulu, Hulu Plus or iTunes.
Eden Riegel expects drama. Eden Riegel (Bianca Montgomery) recently discussed her soap character's daughter (Miranda) being SORASed and having to deal with her mother's sexual orientation. For her own character, Riegel expects there to be a lot of drama following the events of five years ago.

Major networks deny ad time. It's likely that a lot of friends and family don't know about the reboot of "All My Children" and "One Life To Live." They won't find out about it on network television anyway. The major networks are not interested in airing commercials promoting the online soaps. They are denying Daytime advertising despite promoting the services that stream the soaps. Prospect Park is getting the word out advertising on cable TV networks and social networking.
Here is a new commercial promoting the soaps.
More All My Children. Don't miss the "AMC" recap episode set to air each Friday. Mark your calendars for the first episode scheduled for May 3. After episode one alone, we know there will be lots up for discussion.
Cady McClain is minding our business. Suzy Homemaker (Cady McClain) gives us much needed advice to make us "betta".
AMC History. Over 12 years ago, Bianca Montgomery revealed to her mother Erica Kane that she was gay. Erica may have been in denial or shock, but the truth remained she would protect her baby no matter what, even if it included bribing her daughter's lover to leave town or fessing up to a murder she didn't commit. It actually was a murder that didn't occur to the person thought to have died. Erica took the rap for Frankie Stone's (actress Elizabeth Hendrickson, "Y&R") alleged murder and was later exonerated.
