One-woman show.

Lee Meriwether (ex-Ruth) will appear in Theatre Island Productions' "The Women of Spoon River: Their Voices From The Hill." It will be part of the 16th annual New York International Fringe Festival.

Meriwether will portray 26 women from Edgar Lee Masters' "Spoon River Anthology" in the one-hour show. The anthology is a collection of poems describing the lives of the people of the fictional Spoon River. The former "All My Children" actress adapted Masters' work, focusing solely on the female characters, and performed the show at Indiana University in 2010. The production went on to enjoy a several weeks run at Theatre West in 2011.

"The Women of Spoon River: Their Voices From The Hill" will take the stage at the SoHo Playhouse (FringeNYC Venue #16) at 15 Vandam Street, New York, NY 10013. The show will run from August 10 – 17. Go to FringeNYC for tickets.
