Born in La Crescenta, California, Ryan Bittle first appeared in television in 1994. Before that he played water polo for his high school and had plans to go on to play NCAA water polo and attend medical school. This is when he discovered acting and held off on college in order to act in the television series, "Sweet Valley High." He left the show after two seasons and returned to school at Pasadena City College, and Julliard School in New York City. He did several guest stints on shows such as "Boy Meets World," and "CSI: Miami" amongst others and moved to film, making "Take Me Home Tonight," and "Anne Claus Is Coming To Town" but recently, Bittle has settled in to his newest role as JR Chandler on "All My Children." Bittle enjoys playing sports in his spare time and coaches water polo at the high school level.
